I have been playing golf for 45+ years and no aces; now I have two a year apart (6/1/25; 6/3/26).
This second one was a good hit, good flight, high, but a little off to the right of target; took the correct hop back toward the hole and then ran out downhill right into the cup.
It's really a very good feeling but then you remember you have to keep playing the rest of the round!! After shooting 38 on the front nine, I ended up doubling 5 holes on the back with 2 birdies for a 46, thus carding an 84 for the round. I had three birdies, an ace, 3 pars, 5 bogies, and 6 doubles. Ahh, golf; what a great game!
Sequoyah National is an absolutely gorgeous North Carolina mountain course.
