Played our regular Thursday afternoon game in some of the worst wind I’ve ever played in … 30 mph sustained winds with gusts to 50+! The 12th hole on the Lake Course at Chautauqua Golf Club in Western NY is a difficult par 3 under normal conditions. I hit a 7-wood from 165 that landed perfectly short of the green and we could all see my Yellow Pro V1 tracking perfectly toward the hole!! It disappeared!!! The celebration ensued!! The cool thing is my dad aced the same hole in the summer of 1980. I was home from college and we were playing one evening. I hit it to about 3’ and turned around and said ‘get it inside that old man.’ He knocked it in the jar for his first ace after playing the game for 40+ years. One of my greatest golf (and life) memories!!
