I am 17 years old and have been playing golf in middle school and high school for the past 5 years. Today I played nine holes on The Roost at Cabot Citrus Farms (Par 3) with my Dad where I currently work in the Pro Shop.

For some reason I just had a gut feeling. As I addressed the ball, I looked up at my Dad and said, “If I get a hole in one, you are buying me a new car!” (I currently drive a pretty beat up 2015 Hyundai Veloster and would love something more dependable for work and when I go to college.) My dad just brushed it off and said, “Yeah, okay… deal.” We were 130-ish yards from the pin. I had my 9-iron in hand, and after I hit the ball I felt like it just looked okay, but my Dad said he thought it looked really good. It landed in the green and we watched it roll… all of a sudden it rolls in! Hopefully it won’t be my last, but I used my favorite ball- the Titleist Tour Soft.
