  1. With the PGA moving to May in two years, they are moving its major championship for the first time in 70 years when it goes to Bethpage Black on New Yorks Long Island in 2019. This is part of a long term plan that involves a major shift in the golf calendar including the Players Championship going back to its March date. The catalyst behind the movement some say was golf's return to the Olympics along with the PGA Tours desire to wrap up the Fedex Cup before the NFL begins.

How do you feel about this change?

With the PGA Championship coming back to Charleston in 2021 (The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island), August is a very hot and humid month and deep in the hurricane season. We experienced the wrath of inclement weather in the wetlands of South Carolina during the last event. I worked there as a volunteer (Hole Captain on Hole 10) for four days. I can see moving it because of college football because that is a way of life to many. I would be nice to have it in May when it returns.

This will give the players a needed rest and a off season which seems like a good idea .
    Only time will tell.

Don't like this move at all but maybe US Open will stay just to Northern courses now
