Just had my annual checkup the other day. A-OK. I don't care how much sunscreen you use (And I use a ton), GET CHECKED. Don't mess with the sun.

I had a small spot on my arm about a year ago. Ended up with 18 stitches.

I made a list for my annual physical this year, so I wouldn't forget anything. It sucks getting old! One item was a spot on my nose and a second on the lower back. I ended up being referred to a cute dermatologist and was diagnosed with two spots of basal cell carcinoma. Doc said I was good to bring attention early.

No melanoma, or squamous cell. Melanoma is scary stuff indeed! Having lost my mom to cancer, the phone call with the news brought a harsh does of reality. She did a nice reconstruction job on the nose and it's healed nicely.

A lifetime spent outdoors. Back in the day we didn't use sunscreen much. I'm using it regularly now!

Hope they got it all and wishing him a speedy recovery. My annual checkup due in December. Do not use the sunscreen but always have an aussie hat on during the summer months. At 73 have been very fortunate. Play golf minimum of three days a week.

Wow!! Very Happy JT found it early. Wishing JT a very speedy recovery one of my favourites to watch.

I have to constantly remind my teenage son to wear sunscreen- maybe seeing a young man like JT would be more convincing than his old man!
