In a Global Golf Post release:

While the R&A announced on Monday the official cancellation of the Open Championship at Royal St. Georges, a joint announcement confirmed:

The Masters is expected to be played the week of Nov. 9-15 at Augusta National; The U.S. Open has been rescheduled to the week of Sept. 14-20 at Winged Foot Country Club, moving from its mid-June dates, while the U.S. Senior Open and the U.S. Senior Women’s Open have been canceled; The PGA Championship is now scheduled to be played the week of Aug. 3-9 at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, nearly three months after its original May dates. Also, the PGA Tour has moved the Wyndham Championship and its three FedEx Cup events back by one week, to start the week of Aug. 10 in Greensboro and concluding Sept. 7 in Atlanta. As for when the PGA Tour will resume, it... =)

  2. So glad to hear that Winged Foot was still on the table, heard west coast venue rumors as of late and was relived. Hope is patrons are still in the equation!

Looks like The Masters will have some early tee times since it’ll be dark at like 5, won’t it?

No worries, those experts at Augusta will have it under control.......

The Masters (Invitational) won't be having 144-160 player to start like a PGA event. The USGA Women's Open in December may have more of a problem unless they restrict the field further.

Let's hope it holds up, the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship are being held in 2 of the hardest hit areas of the country.

Man, I'm trying to stay positive but i can't see how any of this happens. I hope I'm wrong and things change, but we won't be seeing golf or any other sports until we see a test that can happen very quickly.
  8. Personally I think it's great that the Majors (bar The Open) will be staged at the end of the year rather than a straight up cancellation. Masters in November will be interesting! There are so many more important things to worry about right now other than golf. That said, let's hope we can get out there ASAP and do our bit to support the golf community in the meantime!

Different from the schedule I saw earlier today, but whatever they come up with for a schedule it seems ridiculous that the U.S. Open & Masters are being played after the playoff events & Tour Championship.

Well, Augusta National is always closed through the summer due to heat so not surprised they would pick November or skip the entire year. U.S. Open requires so many non-professional qualifiers (thus the name "open") that it just takes a while for all those opportunities to play out. They are also governed by the USGA, not the PGA Tour so not really forced to coordinate. I am certainly okay with whatever they want to do to get golf going again. Tired of old reruns on the Golf Channel, no matter how good they were.

The Tour announced Thursday that A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier will not be a part of the 2020-21 fall schedule and will not return in the future per a "mutual agreement," ending a 10-year run at the West Virginia resort. The two parties were under contract through 2026.

The tournament was originally slated for Sept. 10-13, 2020, but those dates will now be taken by the Safeway Open as part of the latest schedule updates. Sad. =(
  14. Golf courses closed here in the Finger Lakes of New York,my friend in tennessee said their course was keeping the cups 3 inches out of the ground and when the ball touches the cup, its in,no touching the flags and sanitizing of carts also??
