What has our team on the Titleist Tour Truck been up to this week?

We received numerous questions from you, Team Titleist, and we’re here to deliver you some answers from the best in the game when it comes to dialing in the world’s best week in and week out.

Hear your questions, answered, by our team below and make sure to read until the end to get some exclusive on-course insight from our European Tour rep for Vokey Wedges, Will Harvey.

What’s the most common change players are making to their setup this week?

Titleist Tour Rep Liam McDougall gives us the inside scoop below on the addition of long irons to the bags of several players.

How long does it take to stamp a wedge?

While our team - Vokey Wedge Reps Aaron Dill and Will Harvey - work week in and week out to make sure players are dialed in with the best wedge setups for their games, there’s always room to have a little bit of fun, personality and creativity to each player’s wedges. Check out Ian Poulter’s UK inspired wedge exclusively for #TheOpen here.

What is the most popular Scotty Cameron model in play this week?

From the Special Select to Phantom X line, there are a variety of Scotty Cameron gamers in play this week at The Open Championship.

How are golf balls affected by windy conditions?

Consistency is key. Learn more about how the aerodynamics on the new Pro V1 and Pro V1x help players find more stability and consistency with their golf ball - especially in windy conditions.

Are players changing their wedge grinds with the tight lies at Royal St George’s?

Will Harvey gives us on the inside info on what wedge grinds are most popular this week at The Open.

Do players prepare the same for Major tournaments as they do for regular Tour events?

The short answer… no! Listen in to hear more on how players are preparing for the week.

How many clubs do you regrip for the Open?

High rough, deep greenside bunkers and undulated greens call for certain wedge grinds to help players perform to their full ability. That’s why Will Harvey, European Tour Rep for Vokey Wedges, has been working away in the Tour Truck this week to make sure players have the right wedge combination suited for links golf.

Will was out at Royal St George’s a few weeks back to give us a preview of what bounces, lofts and grinds are needed to tackle the various scenarios that players will face around the greens this wee - hear what he has to say below.

Will you have a Titleist shop at the Open. As it’s very hard to buy titleist clubs in local pro shops due to the Titleist commercial constraints in quantities of stock they must hold ?
