I figured i would have to have some adjustments made on the club to fit me better, but I was wrong.

I have played 3 rounds with the putter as is and I am not going to change ANYTHING.

I have never drained as many 10+ putts in my life, in fact the few puts I did miss were just misses.

I know it's not the putter as I still have to make the swing and read the lines, But I have never felt more confident

in any Product ever.  Next stop, fitting for 915 d3!

    I Love you Titleist!,

Good equipment develops that confidence you need to play well. Then it is the Indian, the Indian being that confidence level. Think you will like the new drivers as well. You need to try the new hybrids while you being fitted. Think you will be very impressed with the 915 line. The WOW factor.

It's an older Newport. It seems the beginning of my message was cut out, I got it used....

  5. The older newports are great!  Have your putter specs recorded so that if anything happens to it you will be able to replicate it easily.  I would notate loft, lie, length and swingweight.

    Just a thought, Chris

Good idea Chris! I have an old Newport and LOVE IT..  I would hate to lose that putter and not have a back up...  May have to look on eBay now... :)

I put those address bands on all my clubs just in case I misplace a club not lose it. We went to San Francisco one year and drove down to Carmel and I played Spyglass Hill. The gentleman I played with was from Dallas, TX and he and I both played the same clubs and somehow my five iron ended up in his bag and when I got back to Charleston no club. Because I had labeled all my clubs, about three weeks later, UPS arrives with my five iron. Whenever I purchase a club, I always put an address band on my club. A good $10 investment. Goes to show there are honest people in this world.

Great choice. Newports are great putters. I have an older model Newport 2 and the newer Newport 2 Notchback. Hope that you get as pleasure out of yours as I do mine. My Newport 2 Notchback is my gamer and the Newport 2 is on deck, with a png Pal 4 BeCu in the hole but never use it. No other putters.

Newports are great, I have a couple different models and I am currently gaming a 1.5. The great thing about Cameron's is that they are life long putters, you can have them customized, refurbed, and even now take it to the studio and have your stroke and putter analyzed and have it adjusted right then.

That's great!  I have an old Pro Platinum Newport 2 I picked up over a year ago for next to nothing.  I was going to put it in the bag last year but I never did.  I don't take putter changes lightly.  I've only used 2 putters in the last 20+ years.  So I like to be sure of something before it makes it to the bag.  But it might be time to give this classic putter a chance to show what it's got.  Hopefully it will perform half as good as your putter!

Tdogg21 Im right there with you, I've played the same putter for 20+ years until now. Give the old Pro Platinum Newport 2

    a try!
