This is a pre-Cameron club, but, here it goes... I came across a Titleist Dead Center SP212 putter today. Got it for way less than a song. And I love it! Putted around for for probably an hour, and I liked it so much I put my backup png on eBay! Definitely a keeper until I upgrade to a Newport. Hard to find much info online. What do the model numbers mean? Any experience playing one? Did you like it as much as I do? It could use a new grip, the original is usable, but not great. Wouldn't mind a Scotty grip, anyone put one on a Dead Center? Thanks

  2. Hi,

I know this one is 3 years old but I own a SP-212 since 1994 or 1995 and it has been my only putter since! It is the perfect putter for me. I've upgrade the grip to an Axglo A 2.0 and it works great for me.

I am looking at refinishing the putter. I guess it is made of carbon steel but if someone Noé for sure what is it made of please let me know.

I used a dead center putter prior to Scotty Cameron, but when Scotty Cameron's came out I bought a Newport in 1995, and have been SC every since. I did like the dead center putter though

    Lethbridge,

I too have a Titleist Dead Centre. I still use it when my Scotty doesn’t behave. Great putter to check alignment.
