  1. So I was fortunate enough to get a Special Select Newport for a good price. It was however in rough shape but luckily there’s a guy local to me that refinishes SC putters. Here are some before and after that I wanted to share. If you want me to connect you with him then please let me know.

Looks nice and clean. Honestly, I prefer to send my back to SC to put it in it's original condition to keep it's value. Just me. There are some good refinishers in open market and I know of one in my area. It is all about choices and am glad you are happy with yours. That is all that matters. Hakuna matata.

That one is pretty beat up, I don't think SC would refinish it. In my case, I wanted my Phantom X 5.5 refinished in DLC/black, so I called SC and they told me they only do paint fill on the Phantom line, no black finishes.

I wanted my Special Elect Newport 2 refinished in black as well. When I called the first Rep said they do and when I was ready to mail and confirm another Rep said they don't. Very conflicting and not on the same page. I also would rather get it in Black due to the distracting glare of the sun.

They do, just not for aluminum putters like the Phantom line.

BHershman, the weblink you sent is dated back to 2001. According to their custom shop and the Rep, if the option to restore does not have refinish in black means they don't. According to the email they replied back to me, that for now they don't but maybe later on they will. For me to keep an eye out on the Scotty Cameron "News Feed" for updates. Thanks for your reply BTW.
