  2. I'd take the X9 shape over the Odyssey T shape any day... but I guess it's all personal preference.

    I got $10 on the X9!!!
I've been stuck with the X9 for about the last 6 months, and ended up handing down or trading in all my other putters back in December. Mine was an oddball fitting, ended up with 35.5" shaft and 15g weights and oversize Winn grip. Putting is always a struggle for me, so whatever gives you the best result is the right choice. The other clubs in my bag have all developed a pretty close relationship with it so I think I'll keep it for awhile.
  4. Wow, thats the question we all face...however if you study the loft of the face and the swingweight of the putter that will eliminate the big questions of how it may perform or feel. Then at the end of the day which do you make more putts with!

    Cheers

I'm a big Newport fan and love different putter styles.
Putters are strange beasts...Currently game the Futura 6M.
I have played this model since 2017 and can't find a better fit.
I'm not always happy with the looks...but the performance wins out!

I personally prefer putters without an insert, so will always be Scotty for me.
  7. I was just fit into a PhantomX 7. I still have my 2000 Odyssey White Hot Rossi. I love the SC but it doesn't perform any better than old faithful.

Over the years I have played with a lot of different putters, since I started playing in 1984. Mainly png, Odyssey and Scotty Cameron. Probably have owned more Odyssey. Have sold all putters that do not use, not one to collect. In my current collection; png Pal 4, PLD Milled Black Anser, and Scotty Select Newport 2, SquareBack Super Select Newport 2. My gamer is the squareback. SC putters seem to perform well for me, the feel, the alignment and the sound. Of course it is more the indian than the arrow, and that six inches between the ears. Hakuna matata.

I have an Odyssey Trip Hot 5K 7, a SC Phantom X 5.5 that I've been gaming, and a new Newport 2 currently at the Custom Shop that I am anxiously awaiting so I can put it in play. I think the Odyssey will be gone, but I may keep it around just for the backyard practice area.
  10. The X9 is a beauty.
  11. Going from an Odyssey Eleven to a Scotty Newport 2, I’ve always used a mallet putter. Any advice?
