getting in the game after injury

    This year I am a freshman in high school. In the fall I run cross country, but this year I got stress fractures in my tibia and femur. It has been about 7 weeks since I have been able to run and play golf. I should be able to play in about 2 weeks, which is really good news. I am just wondering if anyone has some advice on how to get back in the game. I hope to make varsity golf team in late February. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Do whatever PT your Dr. suggests and don't push it too hard right out of the gate.  Obviously golf will work different muscles and put stress on different parts of your legs, so until you know what you're in for I would suggest going gradual and then rampping up as your body lets you.  You should have plenty of time to get it going for February.  Good luck
