Hey Team Titleist,
What get you guys for a round of golf, or tourtament?
I plug in my headphones sit bag and study my caddie book, clean my clubs, and go over each shot i will take that day.
Thank you,
Brent B

Well most the time before I play its usually a 6 pack, a bucket of balls on the range, and a good 45-60 min session on the putting green. I am not sure what loosens me up better, the 6 pack or the bucket but I am usually pretty happy with my round!

Now that's funny. Has anyone ever noticed that when you go to hit balls prior to a round, and you hit them great on the range, you play horrible, or if you hit the terrible on the range, you play great? This has happened to me more the a few times.
I'm starting to think Chris M. may be onto something!
Enjoy your golf game, no matter how you play, you never know when it may be your last round!

I try to stretch, loosen up and hit the range/putting green. I'll see how my ball flight is going on that given day and play to that when I hit the course. 6-packs don't hurt either. :)

I use the range to warm up and check ball flight then putt to get feel for greens. Always stretch prior to starting then again before teeing off. (not as young as I used to be) It's great having a short game area that we can hit full shots into greens as well as chip to.
Usually no beer until back 9 unless it's just a goof off round.

TRIGGITY TRAVLeduc,
Same thing always happens to me. Good range session = bad round and bad range session = good round. I just spend most of my pre round time on the putting green now.

I always try to do bad on the range that way you know that round will be good! Hit a few shots and if they're nice and pure, start shanking cause good practice means bad play lol

I know the feeling... 5 -10 min. stretch, booming drives, working ALL clubs(draws and fades) even my wedges, judging green speeds nicely and then... WHOA NELLY!!!... UGH!!!... WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!
I came up with three conclusions
1) My tempo is better on the range... I tend to rush a little on the course.
2) There's no pressure on the range and
3) Driving range mats(no divots to inspect)

I like to stretch a little, then I hit 4 balls with my driver (I am typically the 1st one on the course, so I hit them over towards the #4 & #18 fairway and pick them up when I play those holes), I take a couple of practice putts, just to get a feel for the green speed. I prefer to save the beer until the 19th ... unless it's a certain charity tournament I play in each year :)

A well, I make sure I have no caffeine that day. Then I listen to slower music
A on my way to the course. Stretch as you should always, then warm up chipping getting used to a club in my hand, then putt, then range for around 15 20 mins. Then start the round. I find it KEY to only move on from the different warm ups when you are completely confident, if you are MOVE ON before you start to warm up to much. I never leave an area without having confidence in my stroke. I also try to move slower, talk less and just focus on the course layout. It seems to work very well for me
oh and no beer- bad results happen if you get used to it while golfing and then enter a tournament. I felt like a response without beer was necessary :)
Thanks Ryan,
It's not that beer has to be a part of anyone's game. It's just that after you have been in an accident like I was in 2005 and was never sure I would even play again, any day you can play is a GREAT day. If I have a beer, fine, and if I don't that's fine too. Just to be able to play and enjoy it is all the more fun for me atleast.
