Does it aggravate anyone else when you get an e-mail from either Vokey or Cameron explaining new items in the store and whn you go to to purchase a shirt or something like that, all they have are size smalls in stock? Then you jump on ebay and they have every size you could want, but are waiting to receive the product so they can ship. I can't stand it just because some jerk buys a bunch of them to flip them and make a few bucks!!!

    William,

The Scott releases frustrate me as well. I cannot tell you how many times that I have gone one within minutes of receiving the email of the release and everything is sold out. From Putter Covers to Metal Woods Covers, we barely have a chance. I have never had an issue with a Vokey release, but a bunch with Scotty. I have been a Club Cameron member for about 5 years and am supposed to get a 2-day advance on released items, but with what appears to be no-limit on the amount of items, ebay and other sites have cornered the market on the items. 1 per customer may be one of the only fixes if possible. Hopefully more members will chime in with their issues as well. Thanks Marc

I also am a Scotty Cameron Club member and find this infuriating.  It's shame that people who truly have a passion for the game and Scotty's products are forced to pay a tremendous premium through third party sites, such as eBay.  I personally refuse to purchase any of his products through these sites.  Until we, as a group, stop paying these premiums, it will continue.

I remember back in the spring I was going to buy a few things off eBay from a seller named "doctorkev" and he was "trying" to give me a deal on a few shirts with combined shipping and I thought about it and told myself that this is wrong. I'm not going to support this guy for buying all this stuff and trying to make a quick buck. Funny thing is when I went in eBay to see if any if the new products were available, low and behold, "doctorkev" was the same guy selling all the new stuff. It's not fair at all. Sure people may think that it is fair and whatever but for the people that truly want it for themselves it's not. Titlesit or Scotty Cameron needs to put an end to this.

I have found out with the Vokey releases that the items stick around a lot longer than some of the Scotty stuff. Just sign up for the Vokey emails and you will most likely get what you want. There has been times when I received the Voke email and the next day had no trouble buying shirts etc.

Scotty is a whole different ballgame, you gotta be on your toes after receiving his tweet to get any of his stuff.

I also will not purchase from ebay or 3rd party sites.  And also frustrated that the items run out quickly.  Like someone had suggested, maybe limit 1 per customer.   There have been numerous items that I would love to purchase but always a little late to get my correct size.

Free enterprise gents, once it's purchased it's theirs to flip.. Easy solutions, get on Twitter or TCC on release days and you'll get advance notice!

Sure it's frustrating, but if you get the email and immediately get online, all the covers should still be there.  If they are already sold out, it probably has more to do with the delay in receiving your email.  I've heard Yahoo mail is pretty bad about that.  I don't like it any more than anyone else, but like Todd said, it's a free enterprise and if these guys want to spend the money, they can try to make a buck.  And aren't there already limits on the covers?  Scotty wants these to be extremely limited and as long as he does that, you're going to see this.

Being they only produce a few covers is probably what causes them to sell out so quickly. Unfortunately, we can probably find these covers on ebay at grossly inflated prices. It's interesting the more rare something is, the more it's craved.

it makes you wonder if sales would go up or down if he offered more.  One thing I can guarantee, he will always make sure the number is low enough they sell out before the 48 hour pre-sale window expires.

    Todd T.,

I respectfuly disagree with your "Free enterprise" comment. If being a Club Cameron member has no benefit unless glued to Twitter or TCC then why have the Club in the first place. Not taking anything from the annual member gift pack, why have the 2 day pre-release for members if "Free enterprise" will not allow us to purchase any items anyway? If in fact this 2 day pre-release is intended on giving members a early opportunity, then why not limit the amount of items to be purchased? If after the 2 days has elapsed there are still items available, then by all means exercise your "Free enterprise" rights, but I along with others think that the system is flawed and should be re-looked to give "ALL" members an opportunity to purchase items. I'm open to any and all comments, but am trying to be part of a solution, not a singular "Free enterprise" concept. Thanks for listening. Marc

isn't there already a limit of one cover per order?

Back in probably 2003 while working at The Upper Deck Company in Carlsbad I started noticing Scotty Cameron offering more signed & limited edition run products...I think He basically saw something in Upper Deck's Business model in regards to the sports collectable market and adapted it to his creations. Like Upper Deck Scotty Creates premium products at a limited and obtainable price point...the quality design and rarity of the product being offered can demand several times the cost on the secondary market.

  14. I agree with Dr. K.

It seems that Scotty has a variety of items for purchase...some mass produced with 2000+ headcovers and others with just 10...a little something for everyone.  I will say in the last couple of years he released far more product than he used to!  That being said, enjoy the hunt....that is the way one veteran Cameron Crazy presents it to me! IMHO

It would be nice if once we get the emails we have time to go to the site and shop. I agree it is very frustrating to see something you would like in the email and go directly to the site to see it sold out.

I can understand why he would not want to release more to the public as the items may lose some of the luster and exclusivity.

Its just the nature of the beast to have people go on and buy a bunch of the items to turn around and sell them on eBay.

Maybe they should consider a limit to the number someone can purchase.
