I signed up about a month ago. How long was it before anyone received any correspondence other than a welcome email?  A lanyard would be nice, just satin'

i signed up over three years ago but never received anything.  but that's not the point of this site or why i come here.  some people get things others don't.  if you become a contributing member of the community, eventually you might get something small in the mail.  i haven't been real active over the last 3 years, so i haven't "earned" consideration for anything.  I'm planning to be more active here, but it has nothing to do with getting anything in the mail.  just post, contribute to conversations, and enjoy the place.

I was self-taught and really bad playing a couple of rounds every few years up until I decided to play with kids my own age at 59.  I tried better used equipment to improve (yea, how'd that worked out..),  Was looking for a Cobra fitter and by accident ended up at an Advanced Fitting Center.  Discovered the discussion group by another stroke of luck,  My cake in all of this has been getting lots of great ideas over the last couple of years.  I wanted to learn more and the duffers I play with weren't that much better than me.  Going into stores, clearly buying off the rack was their racket.  The game is a lot more fun now.  And I get icing on my cake with the occasional cool stuff I never expected.

Really..... Asking for stuff is not the best way to step off here.. Put your flame retardant suit on.. Join the conversation and enjoy yourself... It will come.. Or maybe it won't!

Join in conversations and provide meaningful feedback.  This site is not a golden ticket to receive "swag" as much as it is a forum for golfers and Titleist enthusiasts to talk and share.

My advice is to just become a productive member and not to worry about getting stuff.

I want you to feel welcome and hope you'll stay, but you first post is asking for free stuff turns people off and they question your true intentions..

  10. Recently received a sleeve of test balls. Not sure how a report back so am using this forum and hope somehow feedback gets back to where it should go!!!

Apart from losing the first test ball with my tee shot on the first hole , I enjoyed the experience of testing the balls.

the flight of the ball was long and penetrating with minimal spin resulting in a fairly straight drive . Distance was similar to Velocity if not slightly longer. Ball felt a little on the hard side for me and this was the case also on short shots and puts. I didn't feel I had the same control as the NXT tour balls I usually play.

i wonder if this is a competitor for srxn distance balls??

thank you for the opportunity to test the balls. Please bear me in mind for any future test products

OK, thanks for the uplifting posts.  I truly didn't make my first post with the intention of actually getting anything, although I can see where that may have been interpreted.

I was looking around the internet for some swag to purchase, and was getting frustrated.  That frustration comes from seeing items being sold on ebay.  I have started putting my keys on a lanyard, and was searching for lanyards to purchase, and the only place they appear is on ebay.  I refuse to play the game of people getting free stuff and making money from those items by taking advantage and selling through these markets.  I would rather go without until I can fine a retailer that sells them.  Perhaps I'll find one at the PGA Superstore today.

It's also disgusting seeing all of the Titleist tour issue clothing selling on ebay.  I'm really surprised that people would spend so much on used clothing, although some is sold new with tags.  Perhaps some day, Titleist will offer these items for purchase through retail outlets also.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to convey.  Again, don't look bad upon me based on my initial post.  I really wasn't begging for freebies.

Titleist didn't start a free stuff sign up site, they created a way for other product enthusiasts to connect with one another.  If you're providing something meaningful to the conversation I'm sure Titleist will provide you with something meaningful as well.

So asking for any correspondence other than a welcome letter is asking for free stuff?

Nevermind, I'll just go crawl back in my hole.

I agree with TT, Josh and some of the other guys.  If you participate in the discussions and get involved, you may get some merchandise in return, but that's not the point.  I didn't join this site in the hope that I would get free stuff.  Rather, I joined this site, and the FootJoy community, because they are my favorite golf brands and I wanted as much information as possible.  Since I've joined, I've learned a ton about Titleist, golf in general, and made a some great friends.  That's what it's all about.

    Thanks Team Titleist.

Hi Gary, I have been with Team Titleist since the inception of their site.  That is about 4 years and 3 months.  I think Rick and myself are the 2 original members that started back in August of 2009.  We received a "Wonka" ticket to visit Ball Plant III in Achusnet MA.  From there we went onto the Holy land of Manchester Lane, the East Coast fitting center.

Both Rick and I have stayed active and I believe Tim Tiger has been on and contributed for a while as well, just not exactly sure how long.  You will notice that Mike, Cathi, and Cameron do a wonderful job at responding to your posts, albeit asking a question or letting others know about a great shot, or maybe even a Hole In One.

Stay with the site, become an active contributor and I am sure one of them will send a little something your way.  Just because you sign up, does not automatically mean they are running to the post office to drop something in the mail for you.  Again, enjoy your time here, make a few friend, and you will be rewarded....

Happy Holidays, and welcome to Team Titleist!
