  1. Here in the north we definitely have a golf season. I would say I'm lucky if I'm playing from early-April until November. The rest of the year I'm relegated to the heated bays of the local driving range.  I'll also throw in a couple rounds down in Florida when visiting the in-laws so that keeps me sane during the winter.  What about everyone else? Any offseason routines? Do you have an offseason?

I actually played a round in New Hampshire in February.  The course was mostly clear, with the exception of one of the par threes. (Not a big deal if you land it on or near the green)  The only problem was that the ground was still frozen.  Great roll after the carry, but putting the tee in the ground was a workout.  Flubbing a shot that skips over the ice on the pond and into the fairway on the other side was funny though.

  4. If you don't mind the cold temperatures and the spotty conditions playing in the winter is great. There are no tee times and you have the opportunity to take a few extra practice swings.

I guess you could say I'm pretty lucky down here in Florida as the golf season doesn't really end. Although in the summer you don't want to be out on the course in the afternoon.

I like to go out to the heated ranges or indoor ranges to keep my swing during the winter up here in the midwest.

I live in the Mountains of Colorado so my season is from late May to early October, but Denver is only 90 min away.  I got out and played a round in December and the course was in better shape than the skiing.  I just paled on the 16th of this month.  One hole was closed due to snow, but it's nice to play the winter 17.

When i lived in michigan my season was from just after most the snow melted when i could wear as little as a hoodie and could stand removing a jacket every swing till the same issue before winter but now here in orlando i played though the winter it was a bit cool and really windy but i still got an extra 4 or 5 months and as far as summer coming up im ready its not to bad if you stay hydrated but i am excited also to be going home to michigan for a few weeks to golf with some old buddies

Well as another golfer from the north (Wisconsin to be exact) I am lucky if the courses open by mid-April. Fortunately for me this year some opened at the end of March so I was out playing as soon as they let me. (Approx. March 25th or so) Also I am in a town that has NO covered or heated driving ranges during the winter months so that really stinks because the only thing I can do is swing the club in my living room. Plus I don't have the money to travel right now so playing an actual round during the winter months is usually not an option either. But for now I am pumped to have been playing during the entire month of April so far. Keep 'em in the short grass everybody!
