OK, since I got my new Vokey wedges and AP2 Irons, I figured I would get lessons to start off my golfing season.  Our club just hired a new pro - fairly young guy with a good personality.  Spent about 40 minutes with him.  After about 25 minutes, we figured out my major fault, and he had me hitting my PW about 150 with a slight draw.  I've really been struggling for the past 2 years with my game, so I'm really excited to work on the new swing.

I will use this thread to update my journey, but for now, here is my stats:

Handicap = 18, I had it down to 13 2 years ago, and it has been creeping up gradually.

    Average Drive - 230 yds

    7 iron - 150 yards currently with a fade.

    Average score 87 - 95

The value of lessons can not be underestimated! For years I have struggled with this game we love, after a bout with cancer ( free now),last summer I decided to start over. Went to Man O War golf center and took a series of lessons and still occasional lesson to stay on track. Next step to the certified fitter and got my new clubs. AP1s, 913D2, 913F. Already had the vokey wedges. Can not express how much better, or at least confident I am with my game! Thanks Titleist, for this forum and an opportunity to share thoughts, etc. Remember definition of insanity, doing same thing and expecting different results! Without sounding like Michael Breed, See your PGA professional and get some help!
