Hey Josh,
Thanks for the invite. I would love to have played, but I will be in Indianapolis for the wedding of one of my very good friends.
Hope you have a great turnout and be sure to take some pictures.
Take care,

You're moving from SoCal to New England? Bring your performance sweater...
Seriously it would be great if you could make it out. Let me know when you get out here and we'll go swing the wrenches.

I'll have to check the calendar, but I'm definitely interested. Thanks for the invite!

Hey Josh I'm real interested. TT Connecticut is also looking at a September outing that I am also planning to attend and I was planning on a swing through RI and eastern MA to play some old favorites anyway. So if you guy's don't mind having a senior golfer from Ohio along, put me down and I'll get a motel set up.
It looks like a 2.5 hour drive, but I'm game - count me in! Thanks again for the invite.

Hi Guys,
We've got some really good responses here! Everyone mark your calandars, clear it with the wife, and send me a message if you're in. We should have a couple of Titleist guys/gals up as well, so this will be a great chance to meet people you talk to on here. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at Thomson CC
I'm in Josh. Motel set up and I'm ready to play. Thanks for doing this.
tdogg21Chambersburg, PA
Josh - I'm going to seriously think about this. It's far enough away to not be an automatic yes. But I've been wanting to get up to the Boston area, just not sure if that weekend will work for me. Need to check some hotel prices and see if I can clear my schedule for a few days around that weekend.
19holeReading, MA
Don't think I can make it to play, but may make it for an adult beverage after.
Mike CDallas, TX
Hey Josh - Sounds like a fun time and a great opportunity to meet some other TT members. I have not played a lot of golf up on the east coast and it sounds like a fun trip to make, but I am playing in a tournament in California that weekend. Maybe one of these days I can make it up to the east coast to meet some of the TT folks in person. Thanks for including everybody in the invite for your event.
Alright TT,
We're getting a really good turn out. There's plenty of room, it's going to be a fun day of golf and shenanigans that you won't want to miss. Get it on the calendar and feel free to message me if you have questions.

Good turnout so far and might even get better. I'm day dreaming too Josh, it's been a while since I played in New England. Can't wait. This will be my third TT event this year. C'mon guy's get signed up. These events are more than just another game of golf. Who can goof up the best on the first tee? Who will be the first to loose a Pro V? Who will have the first 3 putt? Better stop this, I could will probably be the first of the worst on ...
Hi TT,
The New England Invitational is looking really good and we're still taking players of all ages and abilities!
Here's an update with some specifics.
Date: 9/13
Cost: $75 w/cart $65 walking. Bring cash as everyone's green's fee will be going on my monthly bill
Time: Tee times will start between 12:30 and 1. If we get enough participants we can go off of split tees
Format: This is going to be a fun social event. There might be some prizes involved (closest to the pin, low round, long drive etc) but this will primarily be about having a good time and meeting fellow Titleist junkies.
I will try my best to include a Titleist employee and a Thomson member in each group. Afterwards we will hang out on the patio with a beverage and watch our groups come up 18. Post round we will go across the street to Grille 19 for some food, beverages, and more laughs.
Details: Thomson is a very walkable course. There's a couple of hills, but the majority of the membership walk. Feel free to bring your push cart if you'd like. There is a small driving range that I will be at between 11-12:30 and will be happy to get you a bucket. It's iron's only with flight restricted balls, but it's a good place to warm up. There's a short game and practice green that's fairly nice. Thomson's greens are very fast and tricky so if you practice anything, make it putting and chipping.
Lodging: Thomson is in North Reading MA which has 0 options for hotels. There's some affordable hotels on Route 1 that are fairly close by. There's also hotels in Lynnfield that are a sand wedge away. If you have specific hotel/ travel questions let me know.
Thomson is about 20 min North of Boston and 30 min South of New Hampshire. Here's the website: http://www.thomsoncc.org/photoalbum.php?view=list&album=1
Please feel free to message me with any other questions!
See you in a month
Thanks for the update. Given the distance for the drive home (2 1/2 hrs), I don't think I'll be able to hang out too long after the round, unless I can bribe one of my daughters to dog sit while I'm out. Ten hours is a long time for them to be home alone.
It's going to be a busy golf weekend for sure: TT Connecticut outing on Friday, TT NE on Saturday and then the first day of our member-member tournament on Sunday. I can't wait!
George
First i gotta say you sure know how to throw an outing, now i'm definitely looking forward to this..
I'll be walking and don't mind throwing in extra money for skins and whatever else for fun..
It's going to be a fun weekend for me, Friday TT outing in CT and Saturday TT outing in MA... A lot of miles to be driven but looking forward to it..
Thanks again Josh!
Cheers

Josh, can't wait for the game. My wife is already packed and ready to go, me I'll wait till Wednesday night. I've decided to bring my staff bag so I'll be a rider since its only been out in the sun twice this year. Thanks for putting this together and letting someone from Ohio join in. This will be fun.
I'll be there rain or shine! I'm praying for the latter of course...
Really looking forward to meeting everyone Friday in CT and then Saturday.. Told my boys Daddy is going on a little East Coast golfing tour.... A few Lego will keep them happy while i'm away..
Have a great week everyone.
I'll have a wedding to go to that weekend. Was waiting on the final details, sorry for the delay.
Have fun and let's see if we can get a round together sometime now that I'm out here on the East Coast.
Just over a week away - really looking forward to it. Hopefully this awesome weather pattern can hold up for another few weeks.

Have fun guys! Got to play with Josh out there a few years back when I was in Boston. Great track and Josh isn't trying to scare you, the greens are fast and tricky.
Look forward to playing out there with you again in the future!

Great - I was just beaten up on fast greens two days ago. Oh well, hopefully I can just find my way onto them within a reasonable number of strokes. Something tells me this old dog is being led to slaughter.

What are the other details/ playing requirements to be in this tournament? I live in the area and wold love to be a part of this!
Hi Laim,
You have to be a friendly person and enjoy golf and Titleist to play. It sounds like you meet all the requirements. If you're around, come on out next Saturday!

Updated Roster:
Josh,
Thanks again for arranging, weather has been GREAT, hope it holds. Not sure how you arranged groups, just an idea, maybe put old guys "61" like me together with other high handicaps. My GHIN index is 13, and do not wish to hold up you better players.
See you Saturday
Great turn out - thanks for inviting a duffer like me! Josh, is it easier to get there via 128 or I-495? I'd prefer the 495 route, but if the other is easier...
George,
It depends where you're coming from. If you're coming from the South or East 128 is more straight and will need to go through the city where as 495 goes around the city and might take a little longer. On Saturday's there can be a little traffic on 128 heading North.
Coming from the West, I think 495 to 93 South to 62 East is the best option
I'm coming from the North (NH) and will be taking 95/128.
If you have an iPhone i would download the Google Map. It will provide real time traffic.
Safe travels!
Just spent my lunch looking at the course photos. Beautiful course, but WOW, is it as tight as the photos show? Some days I can't hit my putter straight! Going to be a fun day either way, but I probably should stock up on some ProVs.
See you guys Saturday!
It may be even tighter than the photos you looked at!
September 09, 2014 At 04:05 PM
Might have to bring my caddie - he always finds my tee shots :)
Josh G. please see my PM i sent you. Thank you.
Have fun guys! Josh, I was really hoping to get there as it sounds like it'll be a lot of fun. But too many other things going on this month. Someday I'll make it up to the area for a round or two (and maybe some golf...haha).
I'm looking forward to seeing you all Saturday. The forecast looks promising and Mike has come though with some awesome pin prizes. We'll be doing a closest to the pin for a pretty unreal prize, so practice your 160-140 shot! As 19th mentioned, TCC is a tight track so bringing a couple of extra ProV's is a wise choice. I'll make the pairings and try to group people by HCP. Mostly I'm looking forward to meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. Each group will have a TCC member to help you navigate the course. The details haven't changed but are listed below.
We did have one last minuet cancelation, so if anyone's interested, please PM me if you'd like to take the last spot.
Tee Times: I will post exact tee times tonight or tomorrow morning, but we will be teeing off between 12:30-1.
Driving Range: There is a driving range across the street (by Grille 19 and the pool). You can drive your car there or take a cart. I will be there between 11:30 and noon handing out complimentary range balls. The range is a small iron's only range, but it's a good place to warm up. There is a wonderful practice green, bunkers, and hitting nets by the first tee as well.
Cost: Green's Fees are $65 Walking and $75 Riding. Please bring Cash as everyone's fees will be going on my bill.
Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say have a great time on Saturday and I am bummed I won't be able to make it. I know Platinum Joe and Mike D are really looking forward to playing with all of you. Just make sure you don't beat them too badly!
Have a great time and I am looking forward to hearing some stories.

I'm real excited to play this weekend--can't wait to see everyone's Team Titleist pride.

Hi TT
What a great event! Thanks to everyone who joined in, and I hope you all had as much fun as I did. The weather got a little cold and wet towards the end, but it was nothing a 19th hole beverage or three couldn't fix.
We had three full groups of Titleist enthusiasts, some pin prizes and a lot of laughs.
Here's Speedy (Christopher H) rolling his Pro V for an early birdie attempt.
Here's George T (after a booming drive) sticking one close on the number 1 hcp 6th

If anyone else took some pictures please post them up. I'm looking forward to seeing you all again very soon.
Thanks again to everyone who came!

Hope you all had fun this weekend up in New England. Be sure to post some pictures of the event for all to see!

how was the outing guys? any pics/ stories to share??
I had a great time also and can't thank Josh enough for putting this together. It was an horrendous round for me but still had a lot of fun and good laughs. Looking forward to attending more in the future and getting to know more TT members..
I should've dropped my club and been more active with my camera :). Here's the only pic i took after we were done. Mike D. and Josh chillin with a brew... Well deserved!
Thank all of YOU for making this such an awesome event. And thank you to Titleist and Mike for bringing some goodie bags for everyone. I had a blast and I'm glad everyone else did too. I'll plan on doing this again next year and hope to see all of you soon.
Fairways and greens everyone!
Thanks very much for putting together a great day, until the last few holes. The other Josh was a great host and a big help on the tight course. Had fun with Rick, learned much about the high handicappers swing flaws from him, and Ohio Alan was good fun. Next time I will move up to the ole guys tees. Got back to the car after golf and listened to voice mails and had to bail back home to deal with the one whom must be obeyed.
Great fun, you guys are real players, actually was a great learning experience for me. As well, much Thanks to Mike D for the cool gifts.. Look forward to next year!!

Looks like a great time. Thanks for posting the photos. It's always fun playing some golf with Mike D. and the rest of the Team Titleist staff. Such a great group of people.
I meant to ask - how did the "match" go? Do you have bragging rights?
Thanks again to you, Mike and Chris for making it a great foursome to play with and to Titleist for the swag!

Hi George,
We took down the net, but lost the gross. Bragging rights are secure... Until next year.
Saturday was a total washout in PA, so that meant I sat looking out the window wishing I had made the trip north. If the timing is better next year, I'm there! Glad everyone had fun. And Josh, that course does look tight!
pulplvrSpring, TX
Sounds as if Josh G. put together a real class event. Mike D. regaled us here in Houston at our outing yesterday with his comments about participating in Josh's event, so we know he, at least, had fun. It's great to see Titleist supporting these events all over the country. If you like to play and can pull a group of golf enthusiasts together in your area to play, I strongly encourage you to do so. It is always good to meet new golfers and experience different courses.
September 17, 2014 At 02:22 PM
tdogg21, the course is very tight... Josh is not joking when he tells ya to "bring a few sleeves of ProV1s"... It's target golf times 10.. Fun course though and well worth a trip.. Hoping to get another crack at it...
Hopefully you can make it next time, met some great people and had a great time with everyone...
XL for me Thanks
Josh, I'm a size small for shirts. Looking forward to today's game.
Josh, Thanks to you and all of the membership at Thompson CC. Speaking for myself, it was a great day, loads of fun and well worth the trip from Ohio. Titleist, thanks for making these events possible, and participating with us. With the Connecticut and Massachusetts events a day apart, made a lot of new friends, and found that I'm not the only Titleist junkie.
Thank you Josh for putting this all together. I had a great time playing with you, Mike and Chris, even with that epic collapse I suffered on the back nine. I wish I could have stayed for a bite and a beverage afterwards but my poor dog was ever so happy to be let out of the house as soon as I got home. Eleven hours was a long time for the old boy.
If another one of these events are organized, I'm definitely in!
