If you get the chance to attend a Team Titleist video shoot - do not hesitate. It is possibly the most fun and enlightening thing that someone who loves golf can do (on a golf course).

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Rick Veitch and the other terrific Titleist staff members who invited me to the Titleist 915 video shoot December 3, in San Diego. I will never forget the day, never. Yes, it drizzled, but somehow it didn't seem to matter once I started hitting balls. Jim Pooler, the club fitter who worked with me, was insightful, patient and dedicated to making sure I had the ball flight I wanted with the best driver I have ever held/swung - the 915. The 915 is nothing short of incredible, and customizing my ball flight was truly the icing. There has to be a better word than "forgiving" for this club.

While I thought I would have some major butterflies when standing over the ball with a filming crew beside me, the experience was so much fun that I forgot to be nervous. Perhaps most important was the camaraderie that connected everyone at the video shoot - those who were hitting golf balls and those who supported the production. We laughed, talked about golf, families and my favorite topic, how to get more women to play, and love golf.

Yes, I did come home with items to help me remember the day - and a big brown box arrived yesterday - with my new 915 D2 - exactly what Jim suggested - complete with the grip I  use on all my clubs. We went for a ride today - and I will write it again: the 915 is the best driver I have ever held. The club inspires confidence.

Thank you , thank you, thank you.

Kathy, couldn't agree more..  I was selected last year to participate in the new AP 714 irons video shoot and it was hands down the best golf experience I ever had.   Everything you said above is exactly what I went through..  They treated me and the other 3 TT members with first class all day long..   I honestly did not want the day to end..

Thank you for sharing your story and glad to hear you had a great time..  Enjoy the new clubs!

And i agree with you, if you get the chance to attend a TT video shoot, do WHATEVER you have to do to attend..  You will not regret it...

Looking forward to seeing the shoot..

    Cheers

That's awesome Kathy, but I am a little jealous I live in Ky. And we aren't remotely close to any TT events but if ever invited I'd be breaking legs to get there

OH, MY!!!  What an opportunity!!  I sounds truly amazing.

I assume those selected live in the CA region and is based on proximity or is it actually random?  I can't imagine what each of us would do to be granted this opportunity.

I couldn't be happier for you guys!

    Kathy,

I agree with everyone else that being able to participate in the video shoot must have been a great experience.

Do you have any idea when the finished video will start being aired?

What an awesome opportunity Kathy!  Sounds like you have a great time.  The folks out at Oceanside are just awesome and they really make you feel special when you are out there.  Hope you enjoy your new 915's and the priceless experience of the video shoot.

Kathy, you're too kind.  It was entirely our pleasure to meet you and we're very, very glad that you enjoyed the day.  I think Bubba, Mike and I must each have said it a hundred times out at The Grand, but getting direct feedback from Team Titleist members who help us to test new and prototype products is an absolutely indispensable part of our development process.  We really appreciate your insight into the new 915 driver as well as your thoughts on Titleist and golf as a whole. The conversation helps us all.

Enjoy the 915 and please keep the stories coming!

    All the best,

    Rick

Thanks for all the replies -  I do know I was fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time. If you hear that a shoot is coming up in southern California, respond and are selected, I'll find a couch for you if you can get here. I am 2 hours away from The Grand. You also have to like big dogs, and I am not talking about a driver.

As for the release date, all I can say is that "Happy Holidays from Team Titleist" was a part of the day.  I wish I had taken pictures, and full names and email addresses.. but I did not.

I took the club out again yesterday. Wow.
