If you get the chance to attend a Team Titleist video shoot - do not hesitate. It is possibly the most fun and enlightening thing that someone who loves golf can do (on a golf course).
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Rick Veitch and the other terrific Titleist staff members who invited me to the Titleist 915 video shoot December 3, in San Diego. I will never forget the day, never. Yes, it drizzled, but somehow it didn't seem to matter once I started hitting balls. Jim Pooler, the club fitter who worked with me, was insightful, patient and dedicated to making sure I had the ball flight I wanted with the best driver I have ever held/swung - the 915. The 915 is nothing short of incredible, and customizing my ball flight was truly the icing. There has to be a better word than "forgiving" for this club.
While I thought I would have some major butterflies when standing over the ball with a filming crew beside me, the experience was so much fun that I forgot to be nervous. Perhaps most important was the camaraderie that connected everyone at the video shoot - those who were hitting golf balls and those who supported the production. We laughed, talked about golf, families and my favorite topic, how to get more women to play, and love golf.
Yes, I did come home with items to help me remember the day - and a big brown box arrived yesterday - with my new 915 D2 - exactly what Jim suggested - complete with the grip I use on all my clubs. We went for a ride today - and I will write it again: the 915 is the best driver I have ever held. The club inspires confidence.
Thank you , thank you, thank you.
