First Tournament this weekend

    I'm playing in my first golf tournament as a part of a local amateur tour on the 31st. I'm super excited, but the nerves are starting to build.

    Nothing quite like the feeling of competition!

    I shot a 97 and placed 3rd (of 6) in my flight.

    I had the first tee nerves, but didn't go OB (those came later...ouch).

    The part of my game I've been practicing a lot over the past month or two was really strong, so I'm feeling more confidence there. Now to work on putting and keeping control of my drives. Losing 4 drives OB was costly and even cost me an eagle on the score card.

    Hope it went well. I debated jumping into the Michigan Amateur run given the handicap extends a free invite, but decided against. Just don't feel like I have my game worthy of producing anything of real greatness yet.
