Hey Iain, always play my course. Although I never stop unless there is snow in the ground. And this weekend it looks like snow! My group and I do get around in the fall and winter when the high end courses lower the green fees. Enjoy your new sticks!

As for my first round, I'll play anywhere honestly.. Winters are long here in NE (although we've been lucky so far, knock on wood) so as soon as the courses open, I'm out there... Pending my wife's approval :)

That putter headcover is awesome! I gotta find one for me. Enjoy the Old Course, its a real golf experience. I don't play anywhere special first round because usually its whatever course has no snow! I know it sounds funny but -- I heard that in the winter, you have to carry a small mat with you and hit off the mat in the fairway at the Old Course as to not damage the fairway, is that true?

Hi Chris yes you carry a mat or play from semi rough.Most courses are same
this time of year.
