Anyone else ever experance this? I was out of town last weekend visiting friends in Northern Indiana near Southbend. I always take along my clubs to get in some practice at a local range were ever I go for a long weekend. Stopped at the local Golf center a nice heated off course range with a proline shop attached. Grabbed the clubs from the trunk and headed inside. On the door was a giant sighn reading. "No bags on range! Bring as many clubs as you want." I went inside confused still carrying my golf bag. I was imedetlly told "you cannot bring your bag in take as many clubs as you want to the range.

Nope, never seen that before. Maybe it's for security, or maybe they had some theft issues?

    Strange either way.

Wow, I'm sure they have their reasons, but seems a bit extreme.

I have not, I go through there for work a lot. Where is this range? I will check it out next time I am in the area. Seems like they might have had some inventory issues.

I know the range in Las Vegas makes you check your bag through to the range. You hand it off to someone who carries it to the other side and you retrieve it when you get through the pro shop. I think theft is the primary reason. This has been going on for many years.

    Interesting.

I am suspecting it is to prevent mass theft of range balls.

That is definitely unique. Must be some reason.

Well I like to have all my clubs with me at the range. I use all the clubs (except putter) so it would be a pain if I could not carry my bag to the range. First time I have heard of that.
  12. Obviously, one bad apple spoiled it for the rest of us!

    Let me Guess.....Nick's Golf Center???
I used to go there back in the late 90's.
If I recall correctly they were making you keep your bag in your trunk back then as well.

    Cheers,

    Ha...That is too funny.
I totally recall several times unloading the trunk in sub zero weather to use the heated range. Be sure to hit up Nicks for the Titleist Demo Day on 4/21/16 3:00 PM.
LEAVE YOUR BAGS IN THE CAR PLEASE.
