  1. I'm generally not a superstitious person except when it comes to golf. One of them is that I have to start out with 4 plain white tees in my right pocket along with a divot tool and quarter for a ball mark. I don't replace tees until I am completely out and then add four more even if I only have a few tee shots left.

Curious what superstitions other golfers have.

I do the exact same with my right pocket except my divot tool has a magnetic ball marker. I also always have a club glove caddy towel in my back right pocket and two extra balls in the cart ball holder.

Not superstitious but more a creature of habit. I always have a ball and tee in front right pocket and ball marker and divot tool in my front left pocket.

Tees in my left pocket and coin & ball mark tool in my right. I also refuse to use a tee i find on the tee box because the person who used it before could've hit a bad shot and that tee may have bad vodoo on it. Then again it could be vice versa and it have good vodoo but it's not worth the risk. LOL

I always have 1 tee for my driver and 1 small tee (which I never use because I find a broken tee on the tee box!) for my 3 wood, Scotty divot tool, and a ball mark in my right pocket.

That I always have a ball marker and divot tool in my right pocket. Always keep my golf glove on. Do not know if those are out of habit or stupidstitious. Never really think about things like that when I play golf. Thinking and golf are a bad mix. Oh, that could be a superstitious moment. With respect to all. Cheers, Chuck...... Don't step on any cracks in the cart paths.....

I am not superstitious at all. I usually keep an extra ball in my left pocket and my tees and my divot tool in my right pocket. No particular reason why just easy access.

3 orange tees in my right pocket, divot tool in my left pocket with a single coin as a ball marker. The coin is different currency than Canadian, usually and American $1 coin or a Peso

I only use a Pro-V1x numbered 1-4. I typically don't like anything in my pockets when I play, just divot repair tool clipped onto my pocket seem. And like Chuck Z. never step on any lines, just like in baseball you DO NOT step on foul line!!! And no saying the "S" word (uncle hozel) is what we call it!

I won't use white tees I have them though???, I keep blue & red tees 3 each in left pocket, ball marker & divot tool in right pocket. I remove my billfold from back pocket while playing so I don't feel it in the hip turn. I take off my watch so it don't slide or turn while swinging. I don't take out any extra balls because I believe I'm not going to lose the one I'm playing. I don't put on my golf shoes until I have got my cart (don't want to wear down spikes walking to get the cart)

Last: I never text my wife how well or bad I'm playing.

Tournament play...Always play brand new ball....NXT; pref no 2 or 4; white tee only
  14. Some years ago I played 18 holes with two stangers at a course in the Utica NY market. Walking off the course one of the playing partners asked me if I knew what I scored. I had just put up 18 pars on a 6800 yd track. I had not tied my shoes until we got to the first tee. I NEVER tie my shoes until I get to the first tee.

Can not use a broken tee on a par 3. I use 1 1/2" plastic tees and always have a couple in my pocket. If for whatever reason I reach in and can't find one on a par 3 tee box I will go back to my bag to find another, but I do not like using a broken one I find on the ground. That is my biggest superstition.

Secondly, I will only wash a ball in a tee box ball washer on a hole where I have little or no chance of losing that freshly washed ball. Hate cleaning balls for the next guy.

Divot tool and marker in the right pocket, glove goes in the back left pocket for putting, and only white tees no tutti fruitti colors, and no ball over number 4 other than my custom number that I order in dozens at the beginning of the year special.

I don't have any superstitions myself. Reading all of your entries, some of you keep balls in your pockets. My dad also does that. I would tell my dad you need to have more confidence than that. Doesn't this promote bad vibes and you will be ready to tee up another shot when you hit this one bad? Leave the balls in the bag, if you hit it bad calmly walk over grab another ball out of your bag, take a deep breathe and don't think to much about this shot. Just do what you do. Sorry soap box with my dad.
