I'm playing 18 tomorrow....8:30 in the morning and I can't wait! Again, full disclosure....I'm not very good, but I don't care....I LOVE this game. I know I'm going to loose balls tomorrow..many of them, V's and X's.....I don't care...I'M PLAYING 18 TOMORROW! I'm gonna use a mulligan tomorrow...maybe two....three....I'M PLAYING 18 TOMORROW! Might rain.....yup...don't care...18 tomorrow. Anybody feel me on this? Who else gets "lit" (as the kids say) when they know they have 18 tomorrow?

You sound like me. Losing lots of golf balls and excited about golf. That's how I feel every time I play. Even when I fit in 9 after work. Best part of my day.

Am retired and play 18 three to four days a week. Live in the south, no snow but an occasional rain shower and the temperature drops occasionally into the 30s but we layer up with my FJ outerwear, of course, and play on. I keep all my products in the Acushnet family. At the age of 70 we play 18 as many days as we can, why, because life is good and it is even better when the bag is full of Titleist equipment. Cheers, Chuck (Titleist Loyalist)

As follow up......what a GREAT day. I played 18 yesterday! No rain as expected....just 30-50 mph wind gusts....all DAY! It started out as.....this wont be bad.....I can blame my poor shots on the wind, not me leaving the face open, AGAIN...and AGAIN! By the 3rd hole, it was getting a bit "challenging" to say the least...but I didn't care....I was playing 18. Got to the 7th, a par 4 driving my Titleist 913 straight into the gale force winds. Screw the wind.....I didn't even like that ball.
By the time I made the turn my motivation was weakening under the force of these Cat 1 winds. To be honest....never really cared for the ball I used on 11 either. my response on that swing was " What the...?" By 16, another par 4 directly into the mouth of the beast that I am now referring to as "Windaggedon" wondering why I never worked on keeping my drives low...grass burners as I use to call them. Finally, there is the majestic 18th hole....a par 5 that hugs a lake where ducks (mallards) and even swans float gently every day....it is beautiful. Today....no gentle floating, there were white caps crashing into the green wall. IT WAS AWESOME! I didn't play great, my face was wind burn....lost my score card (wink, wink) but I loved it! I played 18 yesterday!

Been living in FL for the past 7 years so I'm spoiled now, but I lived in NY for 57 years prior to moving, so I feel your joy.
  8. You guys that live in the south are making me jealous with your talk of three plus rounds a week! AT least recently we are having mild weather in the north and I am thrilled to have played both days last weekend! However colder weather is on the way so I have to get my golf in when I get a chance!

Love playing! A guy who held the course record on the course I was playing told me this. "It is not how you play, it is who you play with." It made me relax and just enjoy the game. Played 18 with him and I loved it. Never forgot what he told me.
