  1. Hey Team! Thank you for all of your responses on my post on indoor putting surfaces.

I wanted to ask all of you what games your play to keep your indoor / at home chipping practice fun and engaging. Repetition can create muscle memory for sure but when you're having fun and competing against yourself as I'm sure we all like to do, you seem to take the time a bit more seriously and also remember what you did to make things work a bit better. I play a game where I chip from 12ft into a space that is 10-10inches. If it bouces and goes in it's 1pt and if it goes in clean it's 2. I take 50 shots always doing the same set up routine and compete against myself. The best part, I'm always the winner. The worst, I don't win because I have a perfect score.

What games have you made? What games do you find the most fun? What games are the most helpful for course situation?

Thank you all for your posts. As always I look forward to reading them and then using your advice.

My favorite chipping game is working a flop shot. I have an old floor lamp (the plactic cheap kind you use in a dorm room). I use foam balls and try to flop in the lamp shade. Has made me much more confident chipping in tight lies.
  3. I wish I had the space to chip indoors, my wife would freak out with all the glass and doid floors lol.

I use foam balls and my Labrador Retriever. I can get in some pretty long chips from the living room, through the foyer and into the dinning room. I pick out targets where I want the ball to go such as between the legs of two chairs, the back of a chair, on top of the table, etc. My lab goes on command to retrieve the balls and brings them back like a automatic ball return.
