  1. Hey Team! I was recently looking around for a new driver. I was wondering if your woods / hybrids match your driver? I'm also looking around now for a new fairway wood. Would you go with the same company or if during a fitting the fitter said that a particular club worked better and happened to be different from the driver that you use would you go with the opinion of the fitter? Thanks for all of your responses! I look forward to reading them!

  2. Hello Ben...the general response to your question would be to go with the club that gives you the best result. That being sad, I do tend to stay in the same "family" of clubs. I just like the consistent feel and response throughout the set. But if the numbers and sight indicate a different company, you should consider it.

    Enjoy!

  3. I have everything matching but it is because I upgrade everything once they are released. The hybrids at Titleist were changed as you know a year or so ago so they do not match like they used to which is not a problem in my book.

  4. I have the same brand for hybrid, driver and 3 wood (Titleist). I received the 816 Hybrid a few years ago for Christmas. I liked it so much that when I was looking for driver and 3 wood I naturally went with Titleist.

I have all Titleist clubs throughout the bag so they all match from the perspective of being from the same manufacturer. In determining the proper setup (i.e., which particular head, shaft, loft/lie, etc.) I rely on time with an authorized fitter to ensure I have the best setup for my game.

I always play what works best for my game, but I will always look at what I want to play as that does provide a certain confidence to every shot. As far as matching goes if it's not the best club then matching wouldn't matter. Each club has a different purpose so why try to force them to be the same.

I play all Titleist clubs but they don't all match. For example my driver is 913 and the rest of my woods are 915's

My Stuff has to match because I am OCD...LOL. The color of my Titleist bag is the same as my AP1 irons. I use a red and black sharpie. Even when I dress to golf I have to match. I know I have issues but its Ok.

I am the same way. Completely OCD. I recently moved to a mixed set of irons (CB 4-6 MB 7-pw) and it almost drives me crazy because the 2 have a different look at address. But, it works so I deal. My MCC grips are even the red/black to match the staff bag. And I had to get the black leather headcovers since they match better than the new 917 covers. But in some respect it gives a sense of confidence having everything matching.

I carry a full bag of Titleist equipment. The main thing to think about is that each club performs the best for you and delivers the results that you are looking for.

I have a 915 driver, 3 wood, and matching 3 hybrid. I would play the club you are most comfortable using and get the best results with bottom line. There is something to be said with the placebo affect having a suited set of your favorite manufacturer in your bag though. I love Titleist and am very brand loyal....to me I would always stay TT because it makes me feel more on top of my game, more so than trying out another brand to eek out a few more yards.

All same brand, Titleist. 915D, 917F, 816H, 716AP1, Sm6 wedges.....Cameron putter.......Based on fittings these work and am pleased with current results.....do not purchase new club each cycle......when I go to fittings I compare current model vs new models and if trackman shows significant improvement in accurancy with some additional distance, then will consider purchase........

Unlike many long time players of this great game I just started recently. With that said I got fitted for a complete Titleist bag last November.

I have all TM R11 woods right now so they do match. I do want to get a new driver and if I go with Titleist, then everything won't match. Not a big deal. It's too expensive to change everything at once and I hit my fairway woods fine and don't use them nearly as much as my driver anyway.

I went away from matching this year simply because I finally found a fairway that would knock my old 909 F2 out of the bag, and it turned out that it wasn't a Titleist. I feel that every club in your bag should earn it's spot and my new 3-wood just outperforms everything else for me.

Should be noted that I've given up and gone back to my 910 D3 driver. There just isn't anything that I like nearly as much. It's just an old comfy pair of shoes and as such, won't be matching lines any time soon.

    I don't cary a hybrid, just a T-MB 2-iron.

I would suggest, and Titleist's product cycle certainly supports, thinking of your hybrids as part of your iron set. It's a mentality that yields impressive results.

I play all Titleist...my 915 Driver, 915F, & both 816H1 hybrids all have the same shaft. Diamana Blue 60/70 Reg flex.
AP1 716 irons & Vokey wedges have the XP90 R300 shaft. I think it gives me a more constant feel from one club to the next with same shaft & equipment.
  18. 917 D2 917 F 816H and PXG irons cally wedges cameron or spider tour black putter depending on my mood
