  1. I was fortunate to schedule a visit to the Titleist Factory/Offices as well as TPI Tour Testing Facility last week. I walked away with alot of great information and an experience that validates that I am with the best golf company!

First, I stopped by the Tour Testing Facility called TPI by most in Oceanside, CA. I had a chance to hit all the new irons, hybrids and utility irons. Wow! Anyone that has a chance to hit these, if you have not already, is in for a big surprise and lots of fun! The new line up is one of the best roll outs I have every seen since I started playing Titleist products over 25 years ago. One major improvement is with the new T200 (AP3) and T300 (AP1) irons.

The new T200 and T300 have a new silicone/rubber internal component that enables shots to be more consistent in terms of distance as well as provide better feel. I will confirm that this small improvement makes a HUGE difference having played both of these models in the last generation compared to when I hit the new versions on the range. See the picture below.

Second, the new T22 Scotty Cameron Putters are soon to be released and they were assembling them as I walked by and spoke with one of the technicians making these putters into masterpieces. Like many of you, I have one on order and cannot wait to get it later in August but I can tell you that in person these look and feel gorgeous!! See the two pictures below.

Third, the quality control at Titleist (VERY BIG POINT) is second to none in the industry. From the moment a club is made overseas or assembled in the USA it is done with a Titleist quality control team monitoring everything from start to finish. Nothing is left to chance. For instance, the picture of the gentleman in the purple polo below is measuring a fairway wood for a variety of measurements to ensure that the tour players get the same quality that you and I as consumers get when we order clubs! There are many digital measurements verified at every step of the process of production to assembly like this, including quality tests on durability (see the picture of the hybrid head) where ball bearings are being dropped on various parts of the head to simulate irons clanking against these hybrids etc... to ensure every club is durable and performs to the high expectations that Titleist requires.

Lastly, the group of professionals in all parts of the plant, offices and TPI are all committed IMHO to helping players like you and I not cut any corners, but find the best quality clubs for our games.

    Cheers, Chris

Sounds like a great experience. One of our daughters is moving near there. Rest assured, a TPI tour will be on the "to do" list for when we visit!
