Left the house this morning after the usual pre golf routine. The temp was 24 degrees. We had a 8:20 tee time. 3rd group out. There was a 9:30 frost delay. The frost did subside but the temperature didn't come up much. Good news was, the wind laid down to just about calm. Turned into a great morning and a great round. Tomorrow looks to be in the 40s!! It's here. How was y'alls weekend? Play Well, Steve S

Left this morning, a little better, 31 degrees, with the frost delay until 10. Wind came up instead of going down. We kidded each other after a few holes with the sun TRYING to get through the clouds as the wind grew. About this time we contemplated making it a quick 9 hole match and heading to the 19th hole instead. Toughed it out as the sun finally made an appearance fully, but the wind never died. After 18 holes, a decent stay and lunch at the 19th hole, as we were leaving around 3:15 TA DAAA...............the temp finally hit 50. Not looking like it's going to make it out of the LOW 40s this week, and back to the low 30's for the weekend. Oh how I hate winter, which doesn't "officially" start for another 6 weeks. Depression now sets in for the 13 months of winter.

We're having funny weather in Northern California, we haven't had any rain in months, October was supposed to be the hottest month on record. Currently our mornings are in the upper 40's - low 50's and highs in the upper 60's - mid 70's.

Winter golf wouldn't be so bad, but that wind cuts like a knife!!

I'm sorry gang, but I have to tell you how much I enjoyed playing this morning with temperatures under 90 degrees. It's the first time in months I haven't needed to towel myself off before every shot.

If it makes you feel any better, I know a lot of people here who put their clubs away for the summer, because it's too hot.

Temp is 5F with 3 inches of fresh powder and 3 more forecast for Wednesday/Thursday. December came early this year. Doubtful we will get enough seasonal warmth to reopen the courses. Even too cold to use the outdoor heated bays with subzero wind chills. Time to work on putting stroke.

Sorry Don. I will have to work with Allan to set up a local outing here in San Diego like we did last year. Probably will pick the same weekend of Daylight Savings (March 8) like last time. You will probably be ready to come out of hibernation by then.

Shoot. I was ready to look for some place warm on the change to Standard time 2 weeks ago. Haven't played a round since 10/12. We were thinking of coming out for the Farmer's but will plan a longer vacation around March 8. SD is a great place to visit, especially from our Winter Wonderland. That weekend is usually when the snow changes over to mud, still not golfing weather for another 5-6 weeks.

Winter did come quick this year. Like you I will be working on the putting stroke and hitting the indoor simulators. This should hold me over until the end of the year and then it will be time to start looking at taking a vacation somewhere warm.

We are slowly climbing back up tot he 50's after Ice/Snow both light on Sunday & Monday with 30 mph winds. So maybe this weekend at 5 degrees and south winds might get out and play. If not the following week still looks promising..

Milwaukee has been miserable for over a month and consistently 10 to 15 degrees below normal temps, not to mention the winds. First it was raining constantly and now frigid temps with record snow. Finally gave up and put my clubs away. I should still be playing at least a few times in November. I'm sure 2020 will make up for the lost rounds!

Played today here in SE Texas. Temperature at scheduled start time was 31 degrees F. We had a one hour delay before the Superintendent would permit players on the course. Everyone was bundled up, with lots of watch caps and ear bands, as well as winter gloves and cart mitts. Conditions otherwise were not bad, as the wind laid down for most of the round and the temperature got all the way up to 41 by the time we finished. I'm very glad that FJ apparel makes everyday playable.

No snow, but the course was closed and the greens covered due to sub-freezing weather overnight. Should be okay Friday and next week back in the 60's.

Some of those temps are cold to say the least and not very good for golfing.

    Dennis M, Florida- WOW 90s !!

Up here in the high desert in California, we've been enjoying the low 40s in the morning and it peaks at mid 70s for a couple of weeks and a half now, but I know it won't last for long and the winds with low temps will be around.

Frost delays anywhere from 30-60 minutes the last 3 weekends. Not unexpected in New England in November.
  21. Cold, wet and windy here. Probably won't get too many rounds in, but will hit the range regularly.

This past week has been great. Temps low 60's to high 70's and no humidity. Winter has arrived in South Florida.

Temps have been in the low 40s here in Charleston recently. That is winter for us. Add in the wind off the ocean and it can get real chilly. Thank goodness for my FJ Hydroknit jacket.
