That would be a great "job"!
  3. I'm a muny track golfer. The high end resorts are nice, but feel the small town courses keep the nostalgia. My bucket list consist of any 9 hole or local low end course I can find. Played several last year and met some great folks along the way.
  4. I began reading Coyne’s book “A Course Called Ireland” just before heading there in June of 2019 to play. We played Lahinch (it closed the next day to make ready for the Irish Open), Tralee, Doonbeg, and of course, Ballybunion. I waited to finish the last chapter of the book on the plane ride back so I could feel how Coyne must have felt when he finished his last round at Ballybunion. I had tears in my eyes as I closed the book. I love golf too and all of the wonderful people I have met. Played many great courses but Ireland and its people will always hold a special place in my heart.
  5. Watched the whole series so far and eagerly waiting on the next episode. Tom’s interest in golf and golfers is compelling. The production on each episode is second to none and I hope to have the opportunity to meet Mr Coyne for a round one day. My bucket list is massive having not ventured far due to family and lack of funds. But I’ll keep hoping that one day a ‘diDprojects’ invite will be answered and we’ll play somewhere nice.
I think Porthmadog GC is my favourite course played, along with Trentham Gardens. My bucket list includes The Belfry, St. Andrews, Druids Glen, Yas Links, Bandon Dunes amongst others.

I loved playing in Ireland mainly because of the people. The course that our tour guide choice were great and I enjoyed each one of them. Ballybunion, Dooks, Dingle Bay, Waterville, and Killarney Golf and Fishing Club. Stayed at a B&B in Killarney for five nights and enjoyed the local festivities. Another was Cabot Golf Links Resort in Nova Scotia. A truly golf destination. We played the Links course and the Cliffs before it was open to the public.
Cliffs is up there among my favorite in the world, layout and beauty. Have made the Pinehurst Resort trip a few times, only a three drive from the house, Kiawah Island courses, thirty minutes away. I guess the only course on my bucket list is Augusta National. Have been to Carmel, San Diego, Palm Springs, Jacksonville and many of the TPC courses. Have been blessed. Now seeking out old municipal courses whenever I visit cities. Can find some real jewels. Such as the back nine at Pacific Grove, CA.
  7. I started reading Tom Coyne’s “A Course Called Ireland” and immediately booked a trip to SW Ireland. We played Trallee, Doonbeg, Ballybunion, and Lahinch the day before Lahinch closed to hold the 2019 Irish Open. I finished reading the book where he saved his last day to play Ballybunion on the airplane ride back. Great read and learned a lot from him on how to play in adverse weather.
  8. Pinehurst or The Old Course. The energy, atmosphere, people make both so special.

This is a great series! I am almost done with A Course Called Ireland. Amazing author and fun to watch experience all these different courses. Love that he is saving an old golf course.
