Has anyone ever played the ASU course in Scottsdale? I'm heading there in two weeks and trying to narrow my course selections.

The ASU course is in Tempe and is a fun golf course. Typical Pete Dye design. I haven't played it since they overseeded but it is usually in very good shape. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it.

Spent a week in Scottsdale this past June. Suggest The TPC (stadium and champions), Sun Ridge Canyon, and the Dinasaur Mountain Course at Gold Canyon Resort. All a good test, great Staff and good post round food and drinks.

I would say play the TPC also. If you have a car I always liked The Golf Club of Estrella. It's a Troon course and always fun to play. You might want to take a look at Grayhawk Golf Club Always wanted to play it but never got the chance. Hope you have fun in Az it's a great place.

Golf in Scottsdale is a blast. The courses are manicured and maintained better than most courses. TPC stadium course is a good course, especially since they host a PGA tournament. You can compare how you play the course to the pros. Grayhawk is another good course that is usually in great shape. If you're willing to pay a little more and want some scenic tracks, check out Troon North or the Boulders. And be prepared to play target golf!

I would also recommend Grayhawk. I played Talon and Raptor last year while in Scottsdale. Both were fun courses and in good shape. We were talking to the starter before we teed off and a Road Runner ran across the tee about 20 yards in front of us. Right behind him came a coyote out of the brush hot on his tail. That made my day at Grayhawk.
I also played Camelback, I got to play Padre course I think. Course Condition wasn't great at the time. I might of just had bad timing.
Rancho Mañana is located in Cave Creek right up the road. Golf course was in good shape, very target golf oriented. But some of the most amazing views I've seen. The course winds up a mountain side in Cave Creek. Loaded with Road Runners!!

I have played the TPC (PGA tour course) and Troon North both were a blast Took my wife back out to Troon and had a couple of Bass ales on the veranda watching the Jackrabbits run across number nine fairway at sunset very cool

I can't wait to get down to Scottsdale this winter. I've played the TPC and its a great course. I think this winter I will try Troon North a few times and maybe We-Ko-Pa a few times. I've heard good things about those two but any course that i've played in that area is really nice and well maintained.

I have played most of the tracks there a number of times. Check our We-Ko-Pa. Two of the best tracks in the Scottsdale region (and the world). No homes for miles in any direction just truly great golf.
