  1. I was wondering...

My fiance's friend recently moved to Dubai. She's going to be there for a while, and has some pretty good connections. I'd love to play the Emirates Golf Club. Have any of you ever played the course? If so, PLEASE, share your experience(s). Thanks!

I have played several course in Dubai when I was Deployed in 2007. Emirates is great but my favorites were the Montgomery and Arabian Ranches. They are much cheaper and just as nice. Thje only cool thing about the Emirates was thats were the pros play. Golf in Dubai is so much different then in US. You check in the give you a locker and towels, bathrobe and sandles so that you can shower after your done, because you will need it. They have carts going around the course with ice cold towels for you. Its an absolutely amazing experience.

  3. Oh, whoa. Sounds pretty amazing to me! If they do that for us, could you imagine what they do for the pros? I'll have to check out those other courses as well, but am definitely looking forward to playing the Emirates!

    That's GREAT ! Sounds good.

  5. Emirates has two courses: Majilis (where the tournament is held) and Faldo.  Both are magnificent.  Arabian Ranches and Monty are nothing compared to the courses at Emirages Golf Club.  Majilis is a must because of the Dubai Desert Classic but if you stray anywhere else, hit up the Els Club.  Solid golf exprience there too.

Emirates is going through a bit of refurbishing at the moment.  Trying to get prettied up before the Dubai Ladies Masters and the DDC.  Facilities are generally top notch.

I would also recommend:  Jumeirah Golf Estates, Earth and Fire courses....out of this world.

    Good luck, have fun!
