im wanting to improve my putting and my chipping techniques. im an amateur golfer wanting to improve my game and lower my scores..does anyone have any training and practice tips on how i can improve my skills in those areas?

I think the best putting tip would be to dial in your distance with your putter. For example, unsighted golfers have a stroke for every distance the coach tells them. A very good drill would be to get consistancy with your stroke. Pick a distance of 10 feet, Put a tee in the ground and putt 4 balls to the tee. At first, 1 or 2 find the mark. With practice you'll know how hard to make the stroke for 10 feet. Change from 5 feet up to 30.
Second would be alignment. Biggest mistake made by bad putters. You can use an alignment tool and make sure you're lined up with the hole. Adjust the tool accordingly until you're on target. Romove the tool as you start putting straighter.
