  1. Wondering what other people do to clean their Titleist product and make it last for a long time?

I wash mine after every round with a club brush and some water.  I just make sure all the grooves are clean, and then I wipe down the grips.  Haven't had a problem.  I'm getting a set of AP2's soon, but the 990's I've had for over a decade look new to this day.

I was all of my clubs in the kitchen sink using warm water, a little dish soap, and a soft brush.  After washing the heads, I use a firmer brush with the dish soap and water to scrub down the grips.  I then towel dry the clubs, and leave them out for a while before putting them back in the bag.  I normally clean my clubs after every round and they look great even though I use them almost every day.

Keeping the clubs clean after each round is a good habit to adhere to.    You may want to sell or trade-in those well cared for clubs.  They will keep their value like a car if taken care of.

i use a small beach and water mix to clean the heads. it leaves a small film on the club head that leaves ball prints after you hit them. helps seeing were you make contact.

I also wash my clubs after every round to keep the grooves clean. I love the look of my clean Titleist AP1's in my bag. I use a soft brush for the head and grooves with some warm water and dish soap. I keep iron covers on them except when I on the course. This helps prevent dings while I am traveling to and from the course.

  7. I clean my clubs like no other. I want my Titleist to look their best at all times. Obviously, I keep them clean after every shot. When I get home, I'll pull each club out of my Staff bag. I'll take a really, super fine grit sandpaper and sand the grips (full cord). Then, I'll take my Dremel and clean out the grooves spotless. After that, I'll clean the club(s) with mild soap and water. Once a week, sometimes more, I'll use my Dremel to "polish" up the shafts/heads. Even after chipping and putting iinside, I'll at least wash the grips. I'm probably forgetting something...

Same thing for my Titleist Staff bag and FJ Icon's. I'll clean them up after every use.

I really do love my Titleist equipment and FJ's. I only want the best for them!

I wash them after every shot. I keep one of my towels wet and add a little hand soap to help clean my clubs and use a brush to get the grooves.

They are cleaned and stored at home when they are taken out of the Jeep.  Gotta keep that investment clean and proper.

I have one of those Frogger towels that I keep damp on the inside and wipe the clubs down after every shot.  Beyond a little brushing when I get home, all I really have to do is give them a little TLC with some soapy water and dry them off.  ( I have the AP2s)  They are still looking really good after an entire season.

I have AP-1's and I wash them with soap and water, but i dont wash my grips. I didnt know that you were supposed to. What is the purpose of cleaning the grips?

Hand washing liquid and an old toothbrush after every round keep my clubs in good shape.I just use a damp cloth on my grips.

I actually find that cleaning my clubs, going through the bag to dump the beat up ball and replenish them with new balls, checking on my small supply of tees, taking out the gloves to dry, hanging up my hats to dry, (I can go through 3-4 hats a round), throw the club towel and face towel into the washer... I just feel it's all therapudic. It gets me concentrating on my next round and makes it easier to forget about anything bad in the past round... lots of that recently...

I can't agree with you more. It is like a ritual. It gives me time to think about my round and reflect on different shots (good and bad) that I hit during the round. I also don't want to get out on the course and forget to replenish me tees or throw a new pair of socks in my bag.

    Well put guys,

It is definitely a ritual for me.  Before I play in any tournament or big round, I bring my clubs in the house the night before, go through my bag, stock up on tees, balls, etc., clean the sticks, mark my Pro V1's for the next day and kind of focus on the next morning.  I love doing this, my wife just laughs and thinks I am crazy.

I too wash my clubs after every round and use a stiff bristle brush to clean the grooves. But on my grips, I use a leather conditioner and cleaner. Thsi has worked for me and keeps the grips clean and somewhat tacky thereby enhancing the grip and it seems to make a big differnce for me.
