Almost 8 months ago, I underwent emergency spinal cord surgery. I've spent 3 days a week and countless hours at home rehabbing. Last weekend, I finally was able to play golf again. It wasn't pretty, but I was able to play. Many sincere thanks to my TT family for all the prayers and positive words and thoughts. It was definitely a big taste of humble pie. The little things that we all take for granted. I sure have a different outlook on things to say the least. I plan on returning to work on July 14th. And then retiring on Jan. 1st from the golf course where I have worked for the last 27 years. I plan on putting as much work on my golf game as I did rehabbing from the surgery. Thanks again TT family. Couldn't have done it without ya! Play Well Steve S.

I'm thinking that first retirement round on January 2 may be accompanied with a hangover? Congrats!!

Congrats! Huge milestone! I was out for 6 months following major knee surgery (obviously not the same) but that first round back was just so nice to be back on the course!

Glad that you had a successful surgery and that retirement is the light at the end of the tunnel for you. Take it from some who took that big step at the age of 65 in 2011, it was worth it. I had back surgery after my retirement. I feel your pain and what it takes time to get back. Crawl, baby steps, walk then hopefully run again. Do not rush it. My surgery was a complete success and am thoroughly enjoying my retirement as I know you will. Congratulations around. Stick with your plan, sounds great. Hope to see you at an event down the road. You really nailed it when you said TT family. That is what it is all about. =)
