Does anyone know if the Arccos units are still available for free to TT members?

I am pretty sure anyone can sign up for free Arccos units. It will come with 14 free sensors and a 45 day free trial.

  3. Is the data actually accurate?

I’m still getting used to it. I’m not sure how to get the length of putts correct, as the standard distance is to the center of the green.

The distance accuracy on course seems reliable. My club averages do take into account my duffs. So the recommended club is not reliable. If I know consistent reasonable strikes go 135 yards, I will override that ARCCOS says it is only a 125 yard club.

What I do love is it updates courses much better than Garmin. Last year at Frisco there was only one course option on Garmin. Previously at Sand Valley, Monmouth was not available. I could go on. So far this courses that have had a hole change have been updated on the app.

I’ve been using them for about 3 months. They work great and totally accurate. I do use the Arccos link and all yardages are spot on. Super happy with them.

Having used the Arccos system for several years, it's important to log in as many rounds as possible. The more data that Arccos accumulates, the more "accurate" your data will become. The system might miss a few shots during your round, so it's important to verify that the shots are being recorded. For me, the shot detection is much better today than when I first used the system and I can get through a round with no post round edits needed. If you are new to the system, there's a learning curve, so be patient.

I haven't had a chance to use mine yet, but from what I've read, you can delete the duffs to get a more accurate distance avg. It should take those into account automatically in my opinion.
  8. I used Arccos 4 years ago and the technology wasn't there yet. I really liked being able to go over the round and club selection after the round, but to many missed shots, or inaccurate yardages and ended up just being a distraction on course. Recently I've been hearing good things and thinking of trying it out again.
  9. I use shotscope sensors along with the watch. It gives you three distances for each club. Playing average (which uses AI to ignore mishits, rescue shots, etc), actual average and longest.

The putter record works well also as you take a reference of where the pin each time you finish the hole/take the ball out of the cup. So the putting is reasonably accurate.

I haven't used Arcos, so I can't compare them, but ShotScope is good

I tied them a few years ago, but they won’t track unless you use the sensor on your putter, and I don’t want a sensor on my putter. One round, then back to Arccos.

The sensors are what brings you into the Arccos ecosystem and it's the subscription that keeps the company going. After your free trial is completed expect to pay a fee to continue using the system.

I found them to be very finnicky. I had to constantly adjust the distances, and it was a distraction when on the course. Tried for a full season and got some interesting insights, but wasnt worth the distraction.

I've been using them for about a month now with generally positive results. With my iPhone as the link I did need to keep on top of the hole being played and # of putts (usually inaccurate). I recently the link module and have seen much better performance. First, so much smaller in my front pocket so great there. Second, accurately tracked every shot other than adding 2 extra putts along the way. But I did not need to check every hole like with the iPhone. Bottom line, recommended but go for the link package IMO.
