    Congratulations!!!!!!!!

I has been many years since I have had one until yesterday on hole #10. Driver, 17* hybrid, five foot putt. At 78 years old, very pleasing. The rest of the back nine was all down hill Ran completely out of gas and looked like I was having a heat stroke. Might have, it was in the nineties, as was the humidity. Heat index triple digits.

7-iron?? Sounds like a par 4 to me! Haha! Congratulations to you! May you never forget the joy, and I hope you saw it go in the hole!

My last eagle was back in 2006, a 456 yd par 5. Driver, hybrid to 3'. Easy hole out. I have had a few over my career, but unless lightning strikes (and I hope not, for real!), I'm old-ish and a bunter now, so I doubt I'll get another unless I hole an approach. Same hole years before, fairway metal to about 2'. Same course, 409 yd par-4; 3 iron (with balata!) for a deuce. Unfortunately, a blind approach (could see the flagstick but not the green). And, in SC, holed a greenside bunker shot. I couldn't see the hole due to the depth of the bunker, so definitely a very lucky shot!

Anyone who has made an eagle knows how rare they are. Par-3 eagles (aka, 'aces') rarer still, and of course, the albatross is truly a rare bird.
