Hey Players! Own Footjoy Classics & New Icons...wanted to gain some practical feedback-tips-products used for best practices in keeping the leather protected-clean-sealed, thus extending the life of these quality golf shoes. Also any good methods for keeping polish off of white leather areas? Has anybody had a pair re-conditioned at the footjoy factory? What was the cost, and your success? Go Low!

Keeping your shoes clean is no problem. Whatever you do, do not use regular shoe polish on them. Usagwe of regular polish dries out the shoes and does nothing to prevent leakage.  Keep them looking sharp by using a good grade of leather cleaner/conditioner after each use and definitely use shoe trees in them. I have several pairs of FJ shoes and all are in excellent condition by using the above method.

I agree - cleaning the shoes after each round and using the shoe trees is essential.  I also keep my shoes in a shoe bag.

FJ makes an excellent polish and cleaner, and it's very reasonably priced.  I'm a sweaty kid, so trees are a must.  The cedar really works to keep them dry, hold their shape, and keep the stink away.
