Need some advice. Are new irons coming out this year? I'm itching to buy a new set, but don't want to if new ones are coming out.

There are Ap1, Ap2, cb, mb, something to fit everyones wants dreams desires and needs, what more could you want or expect from the next offerings.

Thanks Bryan. That would be the right thing to do. In the meantime I'm going to get fitted and see which shafts suit my swing best.
I totally understand. I just don't want to miss out on the new stuff. Better or not, I want something that will make me happy for a few years. Thanks though!

I was once told - Find yourself a set of clubs you really like and then go out and buy a second set exactly the same, to use as replacemens for when you wear the first set out. If you like blades, then there really has been nothing fundamentally new under the sun for years! If you don't believe this, pick up a blade from the fifties and one from today. The difference will be cosmetic. The clubs will be essentially the same although iron for iron, the modern lofts will be up to 4 degrees stronger than those of yesteryear, which translates into 10 or 15 yards more distance. If you prefer cavity back - sorry game improver - everything today is a poor copy of the EYE2. You can still buy these second hand as so many sets were made during their long production run. However they are getting expensive - those 'in the know' are always snapping them up and no club has ever lent itself to the custom fitting process as completely as these do. Spend your hard earned cash on lessons and if, for example, you're a 50 year old guy, find a 60 year old pro who knows what it is like to live in that body. Manufacturers (and this includes our beloved Titleist) know that the market for new clubs in many countries is flat and in order to continue to sell product there, keep bringing out new models for fear that if they don't they will loose market share to competitor brands who do so. Ask yourself - am I buying because I am that kind of a guy, who always has to have the latest of everything - or am I a golfer who seriously wants to play better
