what are some good tips for paying in the rain or in wet conditions? i know the basics, ball back in stance a touch, ball wont release as much on greens, but what about off the tee so i dont lose distance and things like that?

I'll play in the rain. Most important piece of advice, get some good FJ rain gear. Off the tee, tee it higher than normal (unless it's also windy), because you won't get much roll. Playing in the rain will negatively affect your score, so don't worry about it. Also play lift clean and place, because mud balls are no fun. The only bonus I see in playing through the storm is that it's a good time to fire at pins. You will get tons of spin/stick on them.

Don't forget extra towels, I keep them in a 2 gal zip loc back and throw them in my bag when needed. Rain is ok HATE the wind !!

The most important thing to ME is to stay dry. Layer up, bring an umbrella, and extra towels. When i'm wet im very uncomfortable and never play well. Another thing i do is is, like Josh said, tee it high and go for the pins! I never expect to play my best in the rain.

Rain gloves help me. Before they had rain gloves, actually use to pour a coke on the grips for additional tack. Found using NXT ILO ProV helps as well as they seem to flow on the greens better when putting. Actually have shot some of my best rounds in the rain...maybe the additional rain gear slowed my swing down just a tad or just more focused on getting the round in as quick as possible.
  6. I love playing in the rain/bad weather. Yeah, a nice sunny day is ideal, but for some reason, when the wind is howling and it's raining, I'm playing. It's a true test to ones skills.

I enjoy playing in the rain as well.  There's usually nobody on the course, so I can get a rhythm going and keep it going for a whole round.  Especially since I bought my FJ rain pants and jacket, it keeps me dry the whole round.

Hi. i live in the UK so play in the rain plenty. I personally don't change anything for my set up or swing and can't think of a reason too. Just try and stay as dry as possible and for any shots around the greenwalk up the green to make sure you know if there is any surface water that could affect the way the ball rolls. Like Josh says enjoy the empty course.
