Finally booked my dream vacation next month. I am playing Royal Portrush and Royal County Down. I cannot wait to try these 2 special courses with my full Titleist bag.

Anyone played these courses, or been to N Ireland? Thanks.

  2. Sounds amazing! I would love to play those. I have been lucky enough to play Ballybunion, Lahinch and others in Counties Kerry and Clare. Have a great trip!

RCD is a superb golf course. You will love its layout and its fairness... pretty good challenge also. We only had that one round up there while all the other rounds were around the 50 mile radius of Dublin. I loved Ireland... and you will find it is a great place to golf and its gastronomy.

I've been fortunate to play both of those courses a number of times. Both are my favorites, RCD has the best front nine I have ever played. At RCD on #4 go to the very back tee and look at this fabulous par 3.

Royal Portrush is tremendous. You'll love the par 3 hole named Calamity.
I suggest, if you have time, play the Valley course at Portrush, it's a good test of golf and is generally not crowded. Either way HAVE FUN!!

Got back this last Saturday from N Ireland, had a fantastic time. People wer very friendly, RCD and Royal Portrush were amazing, loved every minute on those 2 courses. Wind was blowing, which made it fun. Played really well considering I rented clubs, second day I got all Titleist, so that was very close to my set.

Dublin was also fantastic, visited all the old pubs and the Jameson Distillery
