  1. Hi Everyone,

Buddy of mine is headed down to Gulf Shores Alabama for the month of February and I have the opportunity to visit him for a two days of play. Any suggestions of best courses to play? I believe we will be up for 36 holes each day (given we are on a cart which I believe we will have).

Open to suggestions and what to expect as neither of us have played there before. I'm definitely looking forward to it as our courses are snow covered until March sometime.

    Thanks!!

    Steve

Grand National at Opelika (RTJ Trail) may be a bit far, but is worth it. Lakewood (another RTJ) is close, but I haven't played it. Magnolia Grove is on the other side of Mobile. I've only played (most of) the RTJ courses in AL.
  4. Awesome!! Thanks!!

We are also looking at Craft Farms as they have 36 holes of play there and can do full day play. Any chance you have played those?

    Thanks!!
  5. Played craft farms few years ago mid august and the mosquitos were horrible. I’ve never seen anything like it. My vote is kiva dunes

Kiva Dunes is a good choice, recently re-built, its a links course with the Gulf blowing most of the time in February. Just to the north is Point Clear where there are two courses on the Robert Trent Jones Trail, older courses well maintained a lots of fun. To the north is Magnolia Grove also part of Robert Trent Jones Trail, Two courses that will test your game. Take rain gear, February is the rainy season and it can also get pretty cool.
