  1. I live in the Chicagoland area and I’m heading south to play golf. What are some must play courses near Fort Lauderdale?

Jacaranda is usually in really good shape, and Plantation Preserve is good. To be honest, that neck of the woods isn't tremendous for public golf, a lot of run down muni's that get trampled in the Dec-May season. Ask the guys at the hotel or make a few calls.

Not much great public-access near Fort Lauderdale. Options that Edward suggested, or I would suggest making the hour drive up to West Palm to play The Park. Worth the drive.

Having formerly lived in Naples and Delray Beach, I can tell you it's going to be difficult to play good-to-excellent winter golf without an invite somewhere private.

I will be down there for a couple of weeks in January. Any chance that might match your dates?

Have some access to Grande Oaks GC and Weston Hills CC. Also may have some other connections to some decent private courses if you are still there and interested Let me ow.

Like Brock suggested, the Park in West Palm Beach is a great option. PGA National up in Palm Beach Gardens is another good option. Every public course will be packed with limited openings.

    Best of Luck!!
