A small group of us are going to be traveling through Louisville, KY on our way further south for a golf trip in mid-April. We are considering doing an overnight in Louisville as a part way point and would like to a play the following morning before continuing our travel. Does anyone have any recommendations for public courses in Louisville to consider?

Public golf scene isn't great. I'd say Nevel Meade or Heritage Hill. Enjoy!

I use to live in Louisville but it has been a while. Courses that use to allow public play that I would recommend are Persimmon Ridge and Oxmoor. Just across the county line you can find Oldham County CC and Henry County CC (think it has a new name) that were good courses and reasonably priced. The munis have several good layouts but are crowded and tee times take a little work. The top one is probably Seneca. I always thought Cherokee was a fun 9 hole layout and was very close to my house. Before I joined a club I considered that my home course. The Ville is a good town. Hope you enjoy it.
