Is anyone else feeling completely unprepared for the new season?!

Despite having lessons once a month, hitting the range 2 or 3 times a week and even going to see a putting specialist for a 2 hour putting assessment, I feel completely unprepared for the new season after this winter.

With all the snow and rain, I think I've only managed 3 rounds of 18 holes and a couple of 9 holes since Xmas. I'm not a huge lover of the driving range, so at the moment I'm not feeling 'match fit' as I've played so few holes out on the course.

I did manage 18 holes at Broadstone, Dorset last week, which gave me a bit of confidence as some swing changes seem to be working and putting was pretty solid - a nice 50 footer on the last to finish...

I was hoping to get 2 or 3 rounds in over this weekend but my home course has been shut all weekend. The closest I've got to picking up a golf club this weekend, was to remove my golf towel from my bag and throw it in the washing machine!

I think we are all suffering the same at the moment as the weather has been so bad. I played 18 Thursday and another 9 Saturday but conditions were so wet, at times it was impossible to get relief from casual water!
Keep up the range work, film yourself to check on progress and give feedback to your coach. The time invested in technique will pay dividends when courses start to dry out and playing becomes more viable.
Can’t wait to see a bit of roll out and a ball actually bouncing...

Yes this winter seems to be never ending and also all the rain, our 1st two comps have been cancelled !
Only range time once a week for me since the course closed two weeks ago.
Still waiting on my SM7s to be delivered so the short game may take longer to sort out ya ha.....

We'll if you're not ready for the new season after all that I'm defiantly not!! Since the first weekend of September I've played 2 rounds, been to the range maybe 3 times and had a fitting at St. Ives!!

Well it seems that my range work paid off with my first tournament of the season last week, managed to shoot gross 74 and finished tied 1st (4th OCB) and a nice 0.3 cut!

Annoyingly I was -1 gross stood on 17th tee and finished double, double. Had already had a double on the 4th, but 4 birdies helped my score.
