Had an excellent session at my club recently with Chris from Titleist. Looked at Driver, 3 wood and 5 wood.

The driver was a given, I'd heard so much about them I needed to give it a go and the results backed it up, fitted for TS 3 with Project X Hzrdus smoke black shaft, more consistent, longer and better flight than my 917.

We had some time so we looked at the 3 wood, fitted for a TS 2 with Hzrdus shaft again, what was amazing was the performance, it was carrying 3 yards further than my current 917 driver.

I loved the look of the new 5 wood which was an easy fitting TS 2 18* with the same shaft. Easy to hit, great launch and so consistent.

Chris was great, asked what I wanted to achieve from the fitting then explained enough for me to understand the process but without getting too technical. If you're still thinking about the TS range, do yourself a favour and get fit, you won't be disappointed, all 3 will be going in my bag over the next few months.

Had another opportunity for a fitting with Chris from Titleist at Sand Martins earlier this week.
Amazingly the 5 wood was going too far and getting close to the numbers for the 3 wood, so Chris did some minor tweaks and all was sorted.

Again, a great session with Chris, he really knows his stuff, is very patient and will go into as much or as little detail as you want.

Will be looking to try out the T-MB longer 3/4 iron with a graphite shaft next year. They're not available with the Titleist fitting set up yet but they're in so much demand Chris is hoping to see them added soon.

Again, I can't recommend this guy enough!!

I found it strange hoe the TS2 and TS3 could differ. I couldn't get anything out of TS2. My clubhead speed and ball speed were down...but put me in TS3, and both climbed substantially. Was weird.

My distances worked out well for a 3 wood and 5 wood, and happed nicely, so total distance with 5 wood equalled the carry of 3 wood (there or thereabouts). I tried the hybrid in similar loft, and again, couldn't get anything good out of a hybrid, so stuck at 5 wood.

I do need to get more confident with long irons though...as with my launch characteristics, I should be all over long irons for fun. All in my head though...

TS2 driver for the win, 15 yards, 4/6mph up on my 917d2.
TS 3 wood was 12 yards better than my 917 3 wood.
    I love these new woods!!
Strongly recommend everyone try’s them out and gets properly fitted.
    Team Titleist rocks!!
