    Liversedge,

Made our way to Lytham on Friday to watch the 2nd day of the Seniors Open Championship, great day out and the weather was kind to us. Many players had their Titleist bags and clubs together with plenty of Footjoy gloves shoes and attire on show, good to see. It was a pleasure to see Tom Watson a true gentleman golfer.

Who would you liked to have seen ?

  2. Ian,
Bit miffed I didn't go... Could have made it if I'd thought on and been more aware - It didn't get the publicity of other events such as the British Masters. Such a shame...
Would have loved to have seen Tom Watson.

  3. Great that you got to see Tom on his last competitive outing in a major!

I didn't get to this one but thoroughly enjoyed it in 2017 when it was at Royal Porthcawl, so many legends on show, Faldo, Langer, Olazabal, Watson, Couples, to name a few, and with less crowds you can actually see a lot more, if you get the chance to watch one of these, I recommend it.

I'm old enough to remember Tom winning at Carnoustie in 75 so it's always sad when a legend comes to the end of their career but I think overwhelmingly what stands out about him is the manner in which he conducted himself throughout his whole career and certainly didn't deserve getting thrown under the bus by Mickelson.

Watched the seniors at Sunningdale many years ago.. Gary Player was there with those odd leg black and white pants.

Love watching the stars whatever era..
