  1. Randomly after a quick 9, actually 6 before it got to dark I Came across a pair of boxer shorts hanging in a tree. The tree is placed in the middle of the fairway as well

Played a course once where there is a little hut with a bench behind one of the tee's. Sitting there waiting for the group in front the clear and there was a pair of knickers stuffed into each of the two top corners of the hut!

2 separate punch ups , and police driving round the fairways in golf buggies , early one morning, trying to find one that had been stolen and they later found abandoned in a ditch further down the course , it was like summit out of police academy

Few years back played a hole with water running down the right.

After putting my tee shot close by there was a bag full of balls with a note saying you may need these in the future !

Must admit had a good old laugh to myself and thought what a thoughtful person who ever left them there
  5. Many years ago the course at Lostwithiel Golf Club in Cornwall was flooded when the River Fowey burst its banks. Accessand egress to the club was impossible until the river level dropped. Many members were stuck in the clubhouse.
Eventually the water receded and the course re-opened.
After hitting his shot into a bunker, still filled with water, the player found not only his ball but a salmon. It had swum upriver in the flood and had taken a ‘rest’ in the depression of the bunker.

Lol a salmon. Now that’s funny
  7. I was in Australia for Xmas - my partner is from there. My “brother in law” arrived at the family home with a wig he’d picked on a green where he’d stopped off on the way!
  8. Got chucked off one course by the Bizzies as the leading group found a body!!

I tuned up to play in a charity event and the course entrance was blocked off by police.. I was told to use another entrance. When I arrived at the clubhouse the buggies were full of police evidently chasing a man who attacked some with an Axe.

We had to wait in the club house until they caught him, I didn't fancy playing with him out there anyway, plus it is not the way I want to be cut.

During a sunday medal round we had several hot air balloons fly very low (hitting height) over the 12th fairway. It turned out they were in a race where they had to navigate to points at a height where sensors in the balloon triggered on the ground and some clever so-and-so put one in the neighbouring field.... I bet Bryson hasn't used that one for taking too long over a shot.

Playing into our 4th I gave my playing partner a line that I thought was a pheasant sitting between two bunkers. When I played and my ball landed on the green we discovered it was a Red Kite as it flew over and attacked my ball.

And I once saw my playing partner hit a straight drive!!
