I've been wearing the Footjoy Flex LE1 recently. Not the best traction wise, and not waterproof (although a waterproof version is available). However, one of the most comfortable pairs I have owned. Midsole is more like a running shoe midsole. Works well in the dry conditions we have had recently.

Footjoy ProSL or Flex. Both amazingly comfortable!!
  4. Without a doubt, the swoosh Roshe G Tour (NOT the normal version) is the comfiest golf shoe I have ever owned and I normally buy probably 3 or 4 different pairs a year (shoe obsession) so have tried my fair share of golf shoes. I will literally buy this shoe until they stop making it.

For a spikeless shoes, I have found the swoosh Air Max 1 G to be really good too.

I had a similar issue with the Adidas 360's. I have been wearing Adidas for years but as I have got older I need a bit more comfort so I have swapped to Footjoy Flex and Roshe. Both are very comfortable in the current hot conditions but not as stable as the Adidas.
  7. Tosh,
In some respects, making sure that your tootsies are happy is the most important kit decision you'll make.
My phone reckons that a round of golf is about 8000 paces - That's an awfully long way with sore feet.
I have settled on Ecco. I know they might seem an expensive option but I get them as presents (nobody knows what to buy for us blokes) They are very, very comfy and last for ages if you look after them.

FootJoy Arc XT. Previous year model is on sale in places like Function18. Very comfortable, stylish, and good traction.

Skechers for me - so comfortable they are like slippers. They seem to be becoming more available too.

I don’t wear spikeless for playing so have a little collection of old Icons which are superb but now only available via MyJoys. As I needed another pair a white spikes I also have a pair of DryJoy Tour which again have been excellent.
But the comfiest shoe I’ve ever worn has to be the Pro SL. I wear them all the time at work.
The real key is getting shoes properly fitted and not just buying by size. Different shapes/styles or lasts can mean that you may need a slightly different size, so it’s always worth at least trying before you buy.

I’m sure you’ll not be disappointed. I’ve worn the Pro SL and previous versions when they were named DryJoy Casual for a number of years as my every day work shoe. I have arthritis in my feet and they have been such a help. My son is a PGA Pro and he also wears them for work.

I wear Footjoy dryjoy tour shoes. Every season I buy the same black ones for years now.
They have always been very comfortable.
The only issue is I change too metal studs for winter play and sometimes they can be a twat to change lol

I’ve got some Dryjoy Tour shoes which are ok but not as comfortable as an old pair I had for years that were like wearing slippers. They’re also making my feet a bit hot in this warmer weather so I’ve ordered some Flex XP and we’ll see how they go.

    Ha sounds familiar Tosh,

Played my first game back with new shoes and developed a wee blister, of course I kept on playing burst the blister and limped for the last 6 holes, the wife reminding me she advised that i should not use the new shoes. Had to cancel our tee bookings for the next three days, all fit now and ready to have another go.....how can something so small be so painful.

I use the FJ Flex XP. Super comfortable, stylish and the grip is also fine. Perfect shoe for me.
