After taking up golf in 2017 I've just today got my first hole in one. Golf is my medication, I suffer with my mental health and it's the only thing that fully consumes my brain so that I don't think of anything else other than golf. I absolutely love the game which has helped me mentally for the past 8 years and today It's the cherry on the cake..

Was playing the west course of my home club saunton, a splendid true links golf course. I had been playing fairly scrappy but started to hit a few nice shots on what is a fairly tame day wind wise for Saunton.

Up comes the 9th hole, pin is tucked middle left at 129 yards to a slightly uphill green. Out comes the T150 pw, struck the ball lovely and was all over the flag, I said to my playing partner "that's the one" as watched it pitch a yard short of the pin, one hope and in it went. Heard a cheer from the half way hut and a screech from my playing partner and I was utterly stunned it had gone in. Absolutely buzzing.
