Crazy good K grind!

    Just recently got fitted for a Vokey SM6 K Grind 58/12. I must admit - when I played my first few rounds I did not hit it very well. I was curious - the K grind is well known for being forgiving out of the sand, which is what most people use it for. I usually have one club around the green.

    Is anyone else playing a K grind around the green, and not just in the trap?

    Update: now that I'm used to it - wow, it's crazy good!

    John,

    I have a Raw SM6 K Grind that has 6deg of bounce and I love it. Its fantastic out of the bunkers but also around the green. Love to open it right up!

    I LOVE LOVE LOVE my SM6 58.12K grind. I use it for all sorts of chip and pitch shots around the green, in addition to greenside bunker play and full shots from 70-80+ yards out. Even with 12* of bounce, it's a great flopping tool too. I can even flop from tight lies with it.

    I also play a 54.10 S grind, which is my other chipping and chipitching tool around the greens. When I leave the cart to attempt an up & down, assuming I can't just drive right to the ball due to cart restrictions, both the 54 and 58 are in my hands. The lie and type of shot required will tell me which of the two is best to use. They both get a lot of use in every round. As much as I love both of these wedges, I wish I had to use them less. More GIRs would be preferable, usually resulting in lower scores.

    That's pretty funny Doug, that's exactly my set up right now. Love these two wedges and all the shots they open up for me
